When we flip the board around we stumble into the processor area. Spacious enough, you should have no issues with most heatsinks. Other than that, fairly clean looks surround the AM3+ socket alright. I cannot stress this enough: Socket AM3 Phenom II and Athlon II processors can be used in this motherboard.

Zoomed in we spot one 8-pin CPU power header which is expanded higher, for a more easy reach and the fact that the connector won't get stuck in-between the heatsink and that capacitor.

Components wise we only see quality really, solid capacitors, solid core chokes, quality components and nothing else, which ensures stability -- but also reliability and extended lifespan.

There is 4 x DIMM support with a maximum of 32 GB, DDR3 2133(OC)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory.

Overall board design is just great. Everything is positioned really well and is at the proper location. Memory is easy to install, the ATX power connector at the right place.

Let's move onwards to the left side where we stumble into a bunch of SATA connectors and zoom in a little. The motherboard features six right-angle SATA 6G ports which are supplied by the chipset and they support AHCI and RAID 0/1/5/10. In addition to the regular SATA III ports, two additional eSATA 3 (6 GBit) ports can be found at the rear IO. Surprisingly enough there's an IDE connector to be found on this motherboard.

Let's zoom in at the middle for a minute.

Correct, a diagnostic POST display is embedded, displaying status codes of the motherboard. Unfortunately, once again ECS forgot to include the status codes description in their manual.
