So, 2x16A and 2x22 Amps on the quad +12V rails allowing just over 650W of power draw for graphics alone. This PSU can power at least one enthusiast-class graphics cards above a 200 Watt TDP I. Most high-end graphics card eats roughly 15 Amps per card and 20 at best, the math here is simple. The new RTX cards from NVIDIA, however, can peak higher.

All of the power supplies in this Series have the necessary protection functions, even in extreme conditions. Below is a list of the included protections:

  • OCP: Over Current Protection. This function will latch the power supply off if any given rail is overloaded beyond a safe level.
  • OVP: Over Voltage Protection. This function will latch the power supply off if voltages exceed specification.
  • UVP: Under Voltage Protection. This function will latch the power supply off if voltages drop below specification.
  • SCP: Short Circuit Protection. This function will latch the power supply off in the event of a short.
  • OTP: Over Temperature Protection. In the event that temperatures exceed a specified value, the power supply will latch off.
  • OPP: Over Power Protection. If the total output power of the power supply exceeds a safe level, the power supply will latch off.

The SP11 power supplies have a modular cable set that allows you to use only the cables you need for your particular set of components. When it comes to wiring we feel that there are enough connectors for the 650W PSU model we tested.
