Although these graphics cards lack RGB lighting, they are equipped with a white stripe, contributing to a refined appearance. In terms of connectivity, the RTX 4000 series includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports. These ports enable 8K 60 Hz HDR output through a single HDMI cable, despite the absence of the DP 2.1 standard. The card's I/O panel comprises an air vent, connectors, and an aluminium fin stack within an alloy frame. The bulk of the cooling system's volume is occupied by the fin stack. The airflow mechanism involves one fan drawing air in and expelling it from the sides of the card, while another fan directs air through the fin stack and outwards.

The airflow mechanism involves one fan drawing air in and expelling it from the sides of the card, while another fan directs air through the fin stack and outwards. The cooling system integrates six heat pipes that connect to a vapour-chamber plate, efficiently dissipating heat from the GPU and memory components. For power management, the cards feature a 12VHPWR power connector header, complemented by a converter cable linked to 8-pin connectors. The product package includes relevant documentation and an adapter for converting 8-pin PCIe power inputs to a 12-pin power connector. Users are advised to maintain a 3-4cm clearance from the plastic connector and to avoid bending the cable near it for safe functionality.

ASUS provides a dual BIOS feature with preconfigured quiet and performance (default) settings. Although the clock rates remain consistent in both settings, the BIOS option seems to merely modify the fan curve. Opting for silent mode slightly reduces noise while marginally increasing temperatures.
The cooling system is enhanced by a vapor chamber, ten robust heatpipes that span the board, comprehensive heatsinks, thermal pads for all crucial components, and dedicated heat pipes and heatsinks for memory modules. Consequently, temperature management is unlikely to pose any problems.

The graphics card is equipped with a ventilated backplate and a compact form factor, measuring approximately 30 cm in length. With a weight nearing 1100 grams, this card is on the lighter side. The heatsink structure is encased in a sleek, dark shroud, ensuring optimal temperature regulation, as demonstrated in the subsequent section.
