TUF and Strix coolers are always quite beefy.

Alternate.nl has it listed at 799 euros, so higher than Hilbert's estimate. https://www.alternate.nl/ASUS/TUF-Gaming-GeForce-RTX-4070-SUPER-12GB-GDDR6X-OC-Edition-grafische-kaart/html/product/100031762 The cheapest RTX 4070 Super they have listed are the: INNO3D GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER TWIN X2 https://www.alternate.nl/INNO3D/GeForce-RTX-4070-SUPER-TWIN-X2-grafische-kaart/html/product/100035130 MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G VENTUS 2X OC https://www.alternate.nl/MSI/GeForce-RTX-4070-SUPER-12G-VENTUS-2X-OC-grafische-kaart/html/product/100031959 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER WINDFORCE OC 12G https://www.alternate.nl/GIGABYTE/GeForce-RTX-4070-SUPER-WINDFORCE-OC-12G-grafische-kaart/html/product/100034243 and ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC Edition 12GB GDDR6X https://www.alternate.nl/ASUS/Dual-GeForce-RTX-4070-SUPER-OC-Edition-12GB-GDDR6X-grafische-kaart/html/product/100031766 All at 669 euros. Which seems in line with the MSRP (we have a 21% VAT) at 550 euros (excluding tax)

If the OC variant can be found at MSRP, that's pretty good, usually the OC variant would cost 20-50usd more

TUF is 140€ more expensive than FE in Europe. This is pretty crazy. Why are partners asking 140€ more for a mid range GPU? What's the reasoning for this?

Only a 130 Euro, but yes, this seems to be ASUS's premium tax for their top tier subbrands. Of course this could be due to the massive cooler design and the slightly higher clock speeds. But looking at the reviews here of the more MSRP level OC cards vs this TUF gaming version, the performance benefit of 2% on average against those doesn't seem to justify the price bump. Unless you think that the extra overclocking headroom is important or the esthetics appeal to you, I would stick to the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC Edition 12GB GDDR6X if you want an ASUS card.

But TUF isn't even Asus' top line, that's Strix. TUF was always budget version intended to be at MSRP or very close (+20 +30 Eur). This is wild what's happening in GPU market.

I checked the Pricewatch page for the TUF card on Tweakers.net, but this is the lowest price in any shop listed there (only four until now) I also looked at the german website for Alternate (alternate.de), there the TUF card is listed for 776 euros (the Germans have a lower VAT at 19%) but is not available. They also list the STRIX edition for 875 euros (also not available), so that should give you some guidance to how much ASUS wants to put on top of MSRP for those cards: https://www.alternate.de/ASUS/GeForce-RTX-4070-SUPER-ROG-STRIX-OC-Grafikkarte/html/product/100031758

It's ASUS tax. ASUS think they're Apple, and they seem to be right. They wouldn't be releasing this if there wasn't a market for it.
