The provided fans are the ROG RYUO Fan model 12. You’ll receive two of them. The fan has a black plastic frame with 7 blades and a ROG eye sticker in the center. No anti-vibration pads were provided on any mounting corner, and that’s a drawback given the price.

That’s the theory, but in reality, the range of useful RPMs is wider (especially in the lower end):

In Fan Xpert 4, it was possible to set the RPMs as low as about 300 (in Extreme Quiet mode). So, in fact it looks much better than what Asus declares. You have to remember that results may vary depending on the fan sample and the motherboard too.

It’s a plain, slim aluminum radiator with many fins, so absolutely nothing extraordinary. The dimensions are
272 x 121 x 27mm, the last dimension is the thickness. The FPI is 20, so it does require high-pressure fans

Here’s the primary selling point for the ROG Ryuo 240, meaning the block. It has an addressable RGB strip close to the base (this lights up the surrounding areas of the CPU socket) and a 1.77” OLED display on the top. It does look very nice. These things will have their moments later in the review.

Three flat cables come out from the side of the block:

The ROG Ryuo 240 uses 380 mm long, flexible rubber tubing, sleeved for better aesthetics.
