Of course we won't miss out on 3DMark 2001.  By combining DirectX®8 support with completely new graphics, it continues to provide benchmark results that empower you to make informed hardware assessments. As with all MadOnion.com internet-enabled benchmarks, 3DMark2001 has been created in cooperation with the major 3D accelerator and processor manufacturers to provide you with the best possible and most reliable set of diagnostic tools. Weve also included a completely new demo-mode, which demonstrates some of the latest innovations and advances that real-time 3D Graphics can offer!

The Second Edition is a major enhancement to its 3DMark® benchmark solution, originally launched in 1998. Combining DirectX 8.1 support with the latest in 3D graphics, 3DMark2001 SE objectively measures how effectively a PC runs 3D graphics applications and provides users with an online results comparison tool that allows them to make informed hardware assessments and upgrade decisions
Using
Remedy Entertainment's acclaimed MAX-FX Technology, 3DMark2001 demonstrates how to maximize your 3D gaming performance by using real-world gaming technology to test your system's true game performance abilities.

We also did some game performance tests with the help of 3D Mark 2001 SE Pro.  The graphics card you see at work here is a Radeon 9700 Pro.

When we take a look at 3D Mark 2001 the mainboard seems to lack some power. This might be a result from a different BIOS settings that we overlooked. I did not have enough time to get to the bottom of it. Yet the performance drop is quite small.
