Well there she is, nekked, the ABIT AA8XE. When you look at the mainboard you'll notice the clean layout. There is plenty of space to work with and even the most ridiculous coolers will fit at that CPU position. The orange colored PCB is not exactly my style but hey, this is ABit's house color. Furthermore we see (1x) 16x PCI Express, (3x) 1x PCI express and for backwards compatibility 2x standard PCI busses.

Brilliant. Finally some decent onboard audio connectivity combined with Intel's High-Definition Theatre-class 7.1 Audio solution we will have really nice audio. This solution is capable of multiple audio streams to different output destinations, Dolby Digital decoding, 5.1/6.1/7.1 operation, 192 kHz multi-channel sampling and a host of other nice improvements over the aging AC'97 standard. AA8XE's analog audio inputs and outputs include the regular 6 analog connectors with next to it the much preferred S/PDIF (optical) input and output.

Here's that new 24-pin ATX power connector we mentioned earlier. Don't worry though, your standard 20-pin connector will fit and work fine also. Above it of course the DDR2 memory sockets. Colored in pairs for Dual Channel setup. They for once do not interfere with the graphics' cards position.

Here we can observe 4x Serial ATA 150 ports and an Parallel IDE connector. Also the the little Cell Battery for your CMOS.
