Cooling differs from that of the 3080 it seems, since the rear fan is blocked on the other side.
3070 and 3080 seem to both blow air through the hole into a tower cooler.

All the people who use terms like future proof are eating there worlds. There is no such thing as future proofing.The only thing you can bet on is that once you buy your system tomorrow it can become obsolete .3000 series needs serious power when everyone thought the market was becoming more efficient and smaller things just got big. I love me a beefy graphics card.

So do I technically need planning permission to install this thing? I mean I might not need it for the card itself but the structure I'll need to erect to support the card is going to need something surely?

Looking at this compared to my gpu they look fairly similar in size.
I have the 1080ti msi lightening, any doesn't seem like it's too different or if this is bigger its not as much as some people might think.
But maybe it's just because I've been using these 2.5/3 slot cards for awhile now that I am quite used to them

I'd do the same... hell, even a water block probably weighs a ton, will have to figure out something for that too. Talked to a coworker of mine, might get something 3d printed.

Good gosh almighty, what a huge 1st party cooler! Don't think I can afford a 3090, but a 3080 doesn't seem much of an upgrade from 2080Ti...................I'm sure they didn't intend that with the massive 10GB-24GB VRAM jump. 😛

The fan looks funny, the wings look like they suck from top and blow out bottom, the presentation showed it to blow up and into the tower cooler area.
I hope they make the power adapter longer, it looks so cheap and out of place with adapting going on beside a 1500€ card.
