they cut corners to reach this price point ,for example the 24 " we bought in our office have no vesa mount . The monitor stand gets loose . The dc in in gets warm . When connected the dc in sparkles ,poorly made dc in connector. The image though is better than the equivalent Lg bought at the same period. Good image ,poorly built.

Yeah vesa support is critical for me ... But as far it is ips .... I can deal with it ! My current monitor has no vesa .... But I have it on a vesa stand anyway :P

Fresync 1 is part of the cheap price. My MonoPrice G 35 inch ultrwawide was $500 in 2020. 3440x1440 100hz freesync 1 with Vesa mount. Crazy to see a 1440p ultrawide at $200 though. Thats awesome and helps the ultrawide format become more mainstream.

According to this it's IPS, and that would make it fantastically affordable https://www.notebookcheck.net/Xiaomi-Redmi-G34WQ-reveals-itself-as-new-affordable-curved-gaming-monitor-with-180-Hz-refresh-rate.794118.0.html Edit: I paid 340euro for my 34" HP X34... it's basically perfect if you don't use HDR
if it's really ips and i can get it for 200 euros .... i might snatch it and if is ....bad-ish it might become my raspberry pi 5 dedicated monitor ...lol 😛 edit : my mind some time .... 600 euros for a monitor ??? too expensive ! 200 euros for this monitor ? let's gamble on it and if is bad i just lost 200 euros ...... thank you brain !

Waiting for availability on the 4070 super ... I am not that happy I am about to fork 600-650 euros on a 70 card that if we follow the bit width how much is cut down from the top dog etc is really the real 3060ti replacement ....but I need an Nvidia GPU for hardware acceleration on programs that do not support amd , CPU cloth simulation 1060 simulates with 60 fps ....the 5800x ....2-5 fps ... I do not need much but I am not willing to give it up either ... Also amd is kinda bad on old opengl although that is mostly fixed and ok if I dual boot Linux . By the way I am on 1440p already ... You would be surprised what this 1060 can play if you mix medium with low... Anyway my GPU update is long overdue :P.... Ps: if it was not for those quality of life things I am not willing to give up the 7800xt costs 500 euros here and is SOOOOO tempting!
