I have not noticed any mention of the Search app in update notes. What I noticed is new app - Windows Backup.

This is MSI's fault, they rolled out a new bios update which has reset BIOS settings and switched CSM back on, which is not a compatible boot configuration. USER ERROR, these machines are running out of date system firmware that have not been updated to mitigate BlackLotus.

Windows update, it just keeps giving and giving.

I got a BSOD last week - never got one for years before this... in middle of playing a round of Battlefield. Don't have any overclock on GPU or CPU - on windows 10 Pro 22H2. But I am on ASUS Hero VIII motherboard (5950X). Was so unusual I took a screenshot - it said KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

But wasn't the glorious Windows 10 immune to updates that cause issues? Are Windows 10 users suckers by sticking to outdated tech?

Could be memory instability

It's neither MSI's or the user's fault: it's MS's fault. Users cannot be expected to keep up with firmware updates, but this update seems to imply they should.

I'm one of the people that gets the "unsupported_processor" bsod when trying to install .2199 .2215 and the new .2262. Everyone affected has a similar config to mine, meaning z790 or z690 msi motherboard with the latest bios installed and a 13th gen, How exactly is this my fault, care to explain? What am I supposed to do in order to fix this? Everything is up to date on my end.

the only failure is wasting time on fixing a 4.4 CVS3 issue (downgraded to 3.9 btw).

The time of stable software versioning is 100% over. They even turned Windows 10 into kind of a Windows 11 pre-state rolling release by backporting lots of stuff basically every month. If you think Windows 10 would be more mature, you're sticking to an illusion.

Firmware and bios are 2 diffrent things. either way Bios is not something that people have updated, most people dont even update bios on there board when first get it let alone let during it lifespan, Bios is one those things you dont update less you have GOOD reason to like something is working it not something you should be update just cause there was update.

Damn.. Read this too late. Got neverending bootloop with unsupported processor BSOD yesterday. System restore was not working. Reverting last feature and quality updates neither. Spent hours trying to fix it without success. Earlyer today gave up and did a fresh install which was overdue to be honest. Oh well..

Atlest windows 10 dont have startmenu/starbar thats shit again, or was massive padded and waste space lack live tiles all other thing that where lost "fixed" I dont want win 11 but will forced to get it if i want new cpu work correctly maybe i can push getting a build till win 12 is a thing and we have re worked UI again that i might like 🙄

Not defending Win 11's UI restrictions. Most of them should be fixed with 23H2 though, and hopefully also top-position task bar with 24H2.

It's MSI+Users fault, the notification was put out 6 months ago with a schedule for the timeline and final implementation of the full implementation of the mitigation. This issue is affecting users on outdated firmware (User fault) on multiple vendors boards, as well as the very latest bios (but not the previous one) for z790 and z690 on MSI's (MSI fault)

Where was this notification posted? While technically users are responsible for keeping their products up-to-date, again, you can't expect that. Many people don't even know what firmware is, let alone how to update it. BSOD'ing because of firmware that was otherwise functional is bad design on MS's part. It ought to have a fallback.
