Microsoft should specify wish Intel SSDs are specifically affected so that people can take proper action before the boot loop problem hits them. That's why i cringe every time there is a new update for W10 as i already had a nightmare when i updated to windows 1709 , my creative X-Fi soundcard did not work and i was also in a boot loop if i had that soundcard installed and the worst part it took Microsoft 5 months to fix the problem 😏. Why do i feel like we are Beta testing this OS W10 ?
Microsoft really ??? " Windows 10 users with an Intel SSD, who already installed the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, are advised to return to an earlier version of their operating system "
The cake is a lie ...

old intel 320 SSD here, dont have issue related to SSD so far
but with fast-boot enabled it cause massive slow-down, reboot and shutdown took around 5 minutes
the slow-down even still occuring after login,
not sure if there issue with cache or what ...
other than that slideshow/lock-screen broken with 1803 update... that applock.exe
it showing slide-show when it starting up, but if you re-log and lock desktop, slide-show wont start
end-process applock.exe (forcing it to restart) works, but still it shouldnt work like that

This is why i wait with big feature updates since 1709 for atleast 6+ Months.

Seems to me INTEL & MICROSOFT are perfect for each other!

Don't worry folks MICROSOFT will pull an INTEL and steal more AMD workers to fix this.

I rarely get messages in my notification center about apps I don't have but are available in the microsoft store - typically microsoft apps but I vaguely remember seeing others. I guess you can consider that an ad but it doesn't occur too often. The lock screen definitely still has ads. And when you install 10 it comes with a bunch of candycrush type crap, even on Windows 10 Pro.. Overall I wouldn't call it "adware" but there are some things I'd consider "ads". I'm also running insiders.

This probably doesn't need to be made in to a bigger issue than it really is. I've got Intel 330, 510, and 530 SSD's, all working fine here. I'm pretty sure there are some 335's also working fine.
"select devices with certain Intel SSDs may enter a UEFI screen reboot or crash repeatedly"
Microsoft's vague wording was less than ideal, and it's leading people to make unfounded assumtions. It's worded in a way that suggests this is an Intel problem, yet also leaves the possibility that it has NOTHING to do with Intel SSD's.
"Microsoft does not list which exact Intel SSDs suffer from the issues" - HH
"the combo of the operating system update and the Intel SSDs can result in a boot loop" - HH
They don't actually say it's an Intel SSD issue. They say "select devices with...Intel SSDs". I'm more interested in what the select devices are, not a list of SSD's just yet. Wouldn't it be funny if ALL the "select devices" were actually Surface tablets with Intel SSDs. Is Microsoft above throwing Intel under the bus to save face with this botched/delayed/botched update? There just isn't enough information about the issue to know much.
Now people are trying to hitch their Samsung SSD's to this bandwagon, which IMO there is not enough available information to do.

intel 330 60gb here. No problems, although the update created a new partition somehow, dunno why.
