Again seriously BF4? It runs on an Abox 360, 8 year old tech if it's stressing out a PC today it's because it's not designed for PC... You really think a GTX 7800 (same as the Xbox GPU) can out pace a GTX 780? Let alone my 660TI? This is what I am talking about games are not optimised for PC period... 1080p? A true PC optimized game wouldn't need anything above a 680 7970, and run perfectly in 1080 no matter the res... A 780 PC opitmized game would easly handle 4K gaming... This is where buying £$500 cards is dumb! You are buying them to play console games, oh with higher res...

Turn up the details in Crysis3 or BF4 and watch the framerates fall into the 30s with those cards.
Because it's a console port! Not a PC game! Sorry badly ported game!

Hell BF3 cranked all the way up can bring a 770 to it's knees. There are a lot of games now that really need the power that a card like this could bring on 1080.

Really this calling every multiplatform game a console port is getting as old as the constant CPU bottleneck argument that goes on it this forum. SMH

I'll take my 120hz monitor maintaining high fps over a console with 30fps anyday. I prefer to immerse myself in a game with as much rich quality detail as possible. Considering the lack of good games until now, im quite happy to invest in something to enjoy one particular game.

Agreed most that make this statement have little knowledge of game development and the relation hardware has with higher resolution and higher levels of graphical detail. My 1440p monitor requires two gtx 780's to maintain 110fps since that is the HZ I have set to vsync at... Sure a single 780 can run the game but well below 100fps maxed out... And for me 1440p gaming at 110hz is light-years beyond what anyone on console will ever get to experience in the next coming years period.

You are a genius! Everybody sell your PCs and don't buy PS4 or XBOne, sw1000xg being so clever has pointed out that you only need an Xbox 360 to play BF4! GTX780

That is SOOOooooOOO off topic...

Agreed, I have edited my post.

Now for sw1000xg to edit his before any mod takes notice...then again, I do feel that a 7800GTX seems ten times faster than a GTX780...

Seriously? Have you even seen bf4 on xbox 360? Pc version doesn't just have higher res. It is so much more advanced it's like it's a completely different game

Anywyas why would thye release this they have the TI on the way besides with drop in price for 780 I see this not happening...esp for a small gain that any overclock can achieve

In that case, you are misunderstanding a few basic principles. 1. It takes 2.25x the GPU power to render 1920x1080 vs 1280x720. 2. PC gamers expect ~60fps not 30fps. That takes another 2x GPU power. 4x if you want 120hz. 3. Xbox360 doesn't have any AA as far as I know in BF4. 4. Xbox360 doesn't do any DX10 or DX11 features such as tessellation.

At least I can multiply. 10 * 780 = 7800! GTX780 GHz edition!

Are you sure about this one? I thought the 360 was designed with a specially designed chip that is specifically used for AA without a performance hit to the GPU. From Wiki:
The GPU package contains two separate silicon dies, each built on a 90 nm process with a clock speed of 500 MHz; the GPU proper, manufactured by TSMC and a 10 MB eDRAM daughter-die, manufactured by NEC. Thanks to the daughter die, the Xenos can do 4× FSAA, z-buffering, and alpha blending with no appreciable performance penalty on the GPU.
Of course this doesn't mean that its being used, but I would think that if free power was available it would be taken advantage of.

Some Canadian websites have dropped the GTX 780 to $500 CAN. So the price has happened. But right now I wouldnt buy anything from both Nvidia or AMD/ATI until Nvidia launches Maxwell.. its too close for a release.. doesnt worth spending on a new card right now.

Question is;- "Where can I buy this card for a `proper` price (which popular site) where they will POST it via Air Mail to Japan (not a US military address)? :ange: Every site I tried from California to China do not post to Japan. Amazon Japan, you are Kraaayyy-Zee crayon users. 😛t1cable:
Try www.tigerdirect.com - they are one of the biggest (and best) etailers in the USA and they do sometimes ship internationally. The only catch is that you have to do it over the phone. http://www.tigerdirect.com/sectors/help/international.asp Check them out, it may be worth it, even with the shipping and import fees.
