Basically DL SSAA that works with "almost" every game, sweet

Holy crap, this is huge news.

The driver is the GOW one, which releases this Friday, the 14th.

Furthermore, NVIDIA has teamed up with the author of a popular tool called ReShade. NVIDIA will be adding new custom ReShare FreeStyle filters into its GeForce Experience tool: SSRTGI (Screen Space Ray Traced Global Illumination), commonly known as the “Ray Tracing ReShade Filter” enhances lighting and shadows of your favorite titles to create a greater sense of depth and realism. SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion) emphasizes the appearance of shadows near the intersections of 3D objects, especially within dimly lit/indoor environments. Dynamic DOF (Depth of Field) applies bokeh-style blur based on the proximity of objects within the scene giving your game a more cinematic suspenseful feel. With DLDSR and SSRTGI combined, you can enjoy a remastered experience in classic games like Prey.
damn,this driver is just incredible

intresting, could usefull would this work to say 1080p monitor in getting 1440p or 4k? and result in picture that not blurry? and is this driver thing or GFE thing? cause i dont install GFE and probably never will I assuming one would need a card with telsa cores or what they are for it to work? which would rule me out for quite some time

I really hope sharpness looks natural (not blurry or oversharpened), then this could be a nice addition if you got spare performance.

DLDSR+SSRTGI = Hell yes!

Now this is very interesting. I love competition.

Never really grapsed the usefulness of dsr/vsr really using it does not change the fact you still have a 1080p monitor even if the game is rendering at 4k. If you want to game at higher resolutions do it natively and get a higher resolution screen.

It's great to take screenshots in games. Or if you are playing an older game, and have plenty of headroom in the GPU, you can improve image quality a lot. Anyway, remember this thing will not have data from motion vectors like DLSS and DLAA. So the end result will no be as good. So it will be more like an FSR/NIS with some touch ups from AI.

Yeah... dlss has a tendency to change how the image looks, making it look less natural...

Which is disappointing tbh - why haven't they done a proper implementation, like DLSS ? Seems odd.

Downsampling really improves image quality, regardless of your resolution 🙂

Because it needs native in game implementation, to get motion vectors and temporal data.

Yes, that was the case with DLSS 1.0, which also was a spatial scaler. Hopefully the new DSR scaler is vastly improved over that.

Im aware of that - im saying now that they are doing dlss anyways in games, why aren't these games getting a proper dlss supersampling mode... should be fairly easy to add. Just set dlss to run with a higher render res, while output res remains the same.

DLAA came out later than DLSS 2.0 So it had less time to be implemented. But I guess nVidia and developers don't think DLAA has the same appeal as DLSS.

Im sure it doesn't, but it's kinda like sli... it's not for the masses, but the enthusiasts.

I agree with you. I would like to try DLAA but I think it was only used in one game. Some Elderscrolls.

Yeah, downsampling is too demanding for most people to run in most games. I've been using dsr to run at 8k, and dlss to upscale from 1440p or 4k - produces some impressive results, albiet not quite native 8k. My HZD screenshots are while playing with those settings.
