Crysis 1 was a far better step in the right direction for realistic gfx/lighting imo, after that Crytek and Dice with FB made everything look as though all effort was spent on hyper-realistic skin and clothes textures and cartoony like shading, Metro LL suffered from this to. Snowdrop looks far more real than any of other popular engines, i think. There's more to good gfx than simply having ridiculously hi-res textures and lens flares.

Agreed. The only reason i rate FB3 eversoslightly higher than SD is the water effects, specifically the oceans in BF4 - they really are beyond what anyone else has created, especially when you consider it is networked, with everyone on the same server experiencing and seeing the same wave at the same time. Oh, and for now, the sound too - only because I haven't heard what SD can offer.
