I just remembered that Intel themselves tried to break away from x86 compatibility and start fresh. Remember Itanium? It failed.
Backwards compatibility is both a curse and a blessing. We love it and we hate it at the same time. For example, much of the brain damages of Windows are due to MS keeping compatibility with old Windows versions. We hate it. But we would also hate it if Windows dropped compatibility and we couldn't run our old stuff anymore...
In China, you do not need to photoshop picture, that's so low tech. They simply print whatever they like on IHS. Every 2nd street shop has adequate printer.
And every 10th has even laser engraver.
I don't see any sign of p'shopping either.
Pics look as genuine as they can get, including the moire patterns caused by digital cameras photographing a computer screen.
But yes, a very funky name for a CPU 😉
Might get one just for the lolz, even if I decided to switch to AMD for the next generation.
(Assuming it has a decent price)
Any speculation on the price? I had a G3258 Loved that damm thing could run any game you throw at it @ only $50 bucks how can you beat something like that? Plus it overclocked like a Mad-man!
But on the other hand they might just be very well p'shopped. (Edit: or 3D printed/engraved as mentioned.) 😛
P.S: Btw I found an i3-8600k@2.00GHz! And a retail version of the i7-8086K! https://s7.postimg.cc/5o814igh7/Intel-_Core-i3-8600_K_8-2060x1545-2.jpg https://s7.postimg.cc/o13khvsbf/Intel-_Core-i7-8086k-bios-740x420-retail.jpg
