Jokes on you. Its going to be an actual 8086 CPU. Cant sue for false advertising.
Edit: In all seriousness Im guessing this is going to be something like a Celeron with missing cache but high clocks?

I really hope this is real (at least as the product name). They could sell this on June 8th, the 40th anniversary of the original.

Wait: Z370? A release without a new chipset?!?!? This must be FAKE NEWS!

Hard to believe the 8086 was released on my birthday. That thing's ancient.

It will have to have a new motherboard with an extra socket for adding a Math Co-Processor.
And in 200 Years we will celebrate the 80286

they really should have anonuced this on april 1st and let us argue wether or not it was real.

40 years, and modern CPUs still need to be compatible to that CPU. Isn't that weird?
Ryrynz
Over a hundred years using basically the same engine design, not weird.. Just another failure thanks to Capitalism.

I'm not talking about design. All CPUs use the same design. I mean the instruction set ("platform".) There's ARM CPUs which are not compatible to 8086. PowerPC, etc. But on PC (and Mac, but not for long*) we're still compatible with that 40 year old thing.
