I remember when Ubisoft was the biggest Europe game company. Oh how mighty have fallen becouse its run by idiots.

Is it wrong that I feel happy about this? I've boycott Ubisoft ever since their use of Starforce DRM (killed my DVD drive at the time) and their nefarious use of ever increasingly draconian DRM measures .
I used to love the games that Ubisoft would publish but bitter about how their DRM would impact my experience.

This is gonna sound weird but I'm not sure I'm happy with this, I really like Ubisoft's "Macdonalds" style games, sure they're not supreme steak but they absolutely fill the void of what I like in a solid openworld game to while the hours away, especially The Division/Assassin's Creed (since reinventing as historical RPGs) and the last two Ghost Recon games.

Well, we'll see what comes of it. Ubisoft has been recycling itself for too long, and it's practices (both workplace AND business) certainly didn't help them in my eyes.

Agreed. It only needs some tweaks to the respawn rate, and to more properly communicate how the game handles the malaria mechanic. Other than that, FC2 is a great mercenary simulator.

I would love Farcy 1 and 2 remake. Remasters don't do it for me unfortunately.

To cash in...wow, the head of Ubisoft has got some pretty big skeletons and does not want to take any risks.
Anything that happens to that firm will be on the new owners, it would seem.
Poison chalice, and I would recommend to buy some of their IP, or, to walk away entirely from any purchasing of that firm...the legal implication of this is too great to even consider.

I could see MS snapping them up. They have been on a binge to buy of stuff like this and Ubisoft has a huge catalog of IP's.
