Can confirm. Tried it out yesterday (48GB update btw.). RT is not usable on my RX 6800, but even with it disabled I get lots of stuttering (Ultra settings, FPS ~80) and these weird freezes, which seem driver related. Also, I can't get MSI Afterburner to show overlay in the game after the update, while it works fine in other games.

Maybe CD Projekt put the Cyberpunk team in charge of the update.

It made my PC BSOD, after CTD and trying to run game again. Nice one!

It runs fine on my machine. Not using any ray tracing crap. I suspect that's where most if the problems are coming from.

Playing on ultra+ with everything on. No issues, runes butter smooth. Weird some people have issues and others dont.

Same here, I got some crashes due to unstable overclocked+undervolted profile, back down a little and it's all fine and dandy

so basically they ruined an almost bug-free well performing game to get useless raytracing and lower detail shading effects.

All I wanted is TAA. Why couldn't they just put that on the classic version :P

With RTGI it's a different game 😀 RT ON vs OFF

I' ve never had crashes in V4.0 ingame. I had only crashes after game was closed and screen went back to desktop, only then I've seen crashes. Using my system Witcher 3 Complete Edition runs 100 % stable in UHD with HDR on with all effects on max and RT Ultra on everywhere. With my system with CPU on ecomode and RTX 4090 PT 50 % Witcher 3 Complete Edition runs smooth and top eyecandy. Novigrad = 300 W max. Of course, the more RT effects are used ingame, it's demanding more pc power. In that area (RAYTRACING) AMD is two generations behind Nvidia. Sorry to say. If you want to play Witcher 3 RT (with full effects) - the next gen - aka the modernized version of 2022, you need much RT power. But for people with older or less powerful pc system my tip would be to stay with 1.32 and enable mods (HD Reworked, Uber LOD etc.) manually. You will get visually near to the V4.0 without RT effects of course.

Guys, you dont understand: They need the beta testing team (that would be you) to provide them with enough data to patch the issues.

It seems like you haven't read the 7900 reviews. AMD is a single generation behind, or actually a little less than a single since 7900 XTX seems to match 3090 or 3090 Ti, while being cheaper. Of course this doesn't reveal anything about the lesser cards, as those aren't out from either side yet, and in fact it looks like Jensen himself hasn't got a clue about the lesser cards on Nvidia's side. On AMD's side we just don't know, but I very much doubt they will present (relative) miracles in RT. Though seeing how you are sporting a 4090, I suspect mainstream is of no concern for you.

CPR being CPR more news at 11 I remember that this game had problems with tessellation when it came out(dont know if they ever fixed it) you had to manually lower tessellation from X64 to X16 from the video card console
