AMD 290x is leaving the 780ti for dust , these 290x sure were a good buy and still going strong .

Take a look at 770, its getting beaten by 370 aka 7850. That's sad...

Lirik @twitch just turned off all nvidia shadows in order to get stable 60fps on his tri titanXs lmfao.

HH do you happen to have bad flicker with amd 16.2.1 on this game? my crossfire setup is just oh my god so terrible I need to take breaks to not vomit because of that.
Flickering confirmed and also identified with FCAT, it's pretty bad ... you'll want to revert to one GPU for now.

Nvidia published beta driver 364.51 with The Division official support. And 364.47 are NOT WHQL, nor are 364.51
364.47 is listed as WHQL for me in GPU-Z but maybe not .51 because it's a HF driver and not a beta really.

That seemed to go by really quickly. Was expecting it to take a day or so. Thanks for the review!

Thanks Hilbert. Great work as always. Is it just me or does sli scaling seem ridiculous especially at 4k.
It's the second time that I notice the 980'ies all of the sudden cave in at Ultra HD while doing fine at WHQD. Weird to observe indeed, might be VRAM related. I very much doubt the Ti would show this. I however am putting all multi-GPU testing on hold for now (for this article), both teams need mGPU driver fixes badly. BTW AMD Crossfire users, are you guys all experiencing what I am measuring and seeing ? I am wondering how isolated or grand the issues are. I would appreciate some feedback.

I don't know. On nvidia guide they recently posted for this game, they have ti's at about the same framerate that you have 980's at, so it would not suprise me that much if they are close. http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/tom-clancys-the-division-graphics-and-performance-guide
Alright, I'll likely check out with a couple of Ti's tomorrow. I however am checking out now ! Been working on this article for 13hrs straight. Enjoy the article guys, and if you are playing it .. the game 🤓

Yes, the flickering is terrible on my triple crossfire 290x setup, the FPS count is up but it doesn't feel smooth, I think there is a bad case of micro stuttering as well... going back to single GPU until they fix it.

Thanks for the time and effort Hilbert:) Still not sure if I will spent my hard earned cash on this one yet?

on a computer of a friend in xfire of R9 290 it happen too, he was thinking that a card died, but in fact it was only the division... it is more usable with single GPU. this game leave me like BF hardline, it could have been good... but the gameplay suck so much that at the end the game is not good at all lol:) this is my own feeling about it after few hour testing the R9 290...

Crossfire for me is pretty much all flickers and indoors it flickers so much I get an instant headache. It doesnt end there tho, crossfire also makes the game blurry, as if the renderer wasnt deleting last rendered frames on screen so its a motion blur everywhere. Im kinda upset but cant say im surprised by amd, they had the game for a while and gave us a driver thats supposed to be crossfire ready. weird standards they have. I disabled my crossfire, did vsr to 3200x1800, went all high and ultra to be around 30-40 fps and its really good looking game.

16.3 driver will come tomorrow

Hmmm, for a game that badly needs mGPU, it's not doing as well as I'd expect at launch (scaling). Might even have to overclock a little. Looking forward to see vRAM update.

If you still doing including Kepler cards please include Tahiti GCN1.0 if you still have one around.
I know eh? I think the oldest AMD card they should include is the HD7950 3GB, or at the very least the HD7970. My HD7950 in CFX still pull in the high frame rates on modern AAA titles maxed out at 1200P, ofter scoring higher than a single 980Ti (edit: Once AMD gets their drivers in order for a specific title).

From what i see Fury and Nano are doing well against 980 for cards with less Pixel Fillrate. And Fury X is not that behind 980Ti with it's 4GB VRAM and it's 1.4x less Pixel Fillrate. The Game is still new so optimizations will be done but for now the game looks unbiased regarding your hardware choice of brand. Regarding the age of it though there is something to be said 😀 Only over 500 Euro cards are Playable in 1080p Ultra. The Gamers will decide if the game is revolutionary technological masterpiece ,that will offer competing experience even in the future, or just a badly coded game that will be playable after a Software Update or generations of hardware updates.

Thanks for the great work Hilbert! Not happy to see SLI weak on this one, but CFX also doesn't seem to do all that good either. Ubicrap game maybe.

Is there no real anti aliasing option? MSAA,TXAA? just post FX AA?
