Thank god the box wasn't marked "FRAGILE", you would have spent all day cleaning up pieces.

Ouch, I would NOT be happy if something arrived like that, especially in your situation Hilbert, unreleased and ripe for reviewing πŸ™.

Last time I saw a card that looked that bad it had just been under a forklift.

wow 😱, not good.. Guess I got lucky with my MSI mobo and DHL, I won it at some MSI contest and then got it send straight from their Taiwan headquarters to EU., traveled a lot but i got away with only few bumps on the box. πŸ˜›hew:

Thats disgraceful! I got an amp and 7.1 pre-amp today from Emotiva, delivered by Fedex. It only took 5 days to get here from the US but the heavier box has clearly been mishandled. It has 2 tie straps round it and it had been picked up very roughly using these instead of the 4 handle holes. But also the box had been lifted by just 2 handles on each side causing damage. The result is that not only did the straps cut deeply into the outer box, they also cut into the inner box. The handle holes were badly torn above the holes as well such that they had to tape up the box, then they picked it up below the handle holes and ripped the box there too !! The supposedly pristine inner box is a wreck as that suffered the same damage. Fortunately the amp was well packaged inside so didnt suffer, but not because of their effort. I'm quite pissed about the state of the inner box.

Military grade my ass! What the hell MSI? Seriously though, I think Initialised was right. It looks like that card was run over by a forklift.

probably caught in there conveyer system but you can refuse delivery if the package is visually damaged, still bad trade on dhl`s side to even atempt to deliver it

Things like this happen every day, no matter what courier it is. What i wonder is why Hilbert accepted delivery instead of writing protocol with the person that delivered it and signing it off as damaged/destroyed parcel.

Probably because he also has the choice of opening the package up, seeing that the item is indeed actually damaged and then filing for the same damage/destroyed claim? I can't even tell you how many times I've had damaged boxes come to my house/office but the contents inside buried underneath another 30 boxes and styrofoam is fine.

Multiple reasons actually: 1) First being, I have a review deadline to make. 2) Often a box is dented, the product inside not so much 3) The declared value if this parcel was 50 USD, low insurance value 4) We can claim damage after receiving the product 5) this product is from MSI, they need to make the claim But point 1 first and foremost ...

I thought DHL shut oprations down like 4 years ago
Nope, they're still in operation.

I've always preferred UPS here in the States.... my (far fewer) experiences with DHL have been "meh" at best. :/

there are not by me, they where shut down/closed, Mostly for the reason Hilbert made this post about. Use to pick stuff up daily at DHL for my job, stuff was always lost and never handled to kindly, That was till there operations by me were shut down.
