Meh, I buy often enough that it would be too annoying to have to constantly re enter it.

Steam account hacks and db leaks are unfortunately not something unknown, if Steam is not able to fix this recurring problems it wil cause a HUGE trust confidence in his customers...and HUGE losses in profit. I even don't give my CC at all i pay via PayPal in Steam (i believe in the man-in-the-middle) for what i'm redirectionned to PayPal website for each payment and must enter the account password. I'm not going to give my CC data to any webshops but Amazon. I trust more Amazon security than any ATM security, ATM's can be manipulate (and hacked) but i trust on Amazon payment security: trust is the base of their sales.

Steam doesn't store your CVV if you have CC info saved. You have to enter this number each time you make a purchase. CC info is pretty useless anyway as they have to encrypt your number in the client by law at least here in Canada. If you look at your info you'll find that they can only see the last 4 digits which is useless to them anyway.

So many Steam **** ups. Not just with their system, but their games as well. Each game should be free for the first week as if they don't perform well you should be able to tell then to shove it. I also use PayPal, no cc saved in any of those sites.

there is plenty of country where you just need the card number and a signature (valid or fake one)... just a tip. those info are not only for steam it can be used in crossfire bad theing.

Damn this sounds like it was a bit of a mess, not usually anywhere near Steam on Xmas Day though. This isn't something i worry about anyway, people can steal my CC info all they want, it isn't me who is liable. Even when i lost my card and took two days to report it, the card company still took the hit.

I saw another persons account when I checked mine yesterday haha.. it was only like that for short while, I had just got MassEffect 2... I was worried Valve would revert purchases made in that time frame but everything is ok. This is the first time this has happened since I started using steam in 2004... hopefully it never happens again *__*

I reinstalled Win 10 on the 24th of Dec and since then i have not been able to access my steam account. Steam Guard pops up asking me to put in the code but because steam is having issues atm then no emails are getting sent out. Steam Support hasn't answered a ticket i posted from the 24th so i still haven't been able to even install my Steam account over all of Xmas 🙁 24th - 28th lol Steam get ya shiz together no account for 4 days now.

Phew, I was about to go on and install windows 10 just about 4 days ago, decided I'd rather play some gta online/witcher 3 instead. 🙂
