I'd also be interested in a WC3 remake. Never was that big of a SC fan (one of the handful of Koreans who isn't :P).

yes, but so can a faster PC, higher DPS mouse, more responsive keyboard, why draw the line on only a very popular resolution? sure when you are actually competing in a tournament, you can make that restriction if you want. but to not support it is silly. Blizz is just 21:9 racist.

Yes, What a bunch of crap...I don't think Valve can do a HL 3--just sort of lost any confidence in Valve as anything more than a Steam vulture making commission from everyone else's software.

It probably uses the original's map/story data but renders with new interface. When you think the original is not intended for big monitors, I think there'll be some discrepancies on some levels, because maps will be from old game.

RE: original SC being required for remastered... Starcraft:Remastered purchase just unlocks the options for HD textures and new graphics engine features. The original game code has been patched with new graphical options. The 'free version' gets all the other upgrades like the battle.net integration. Gameplay is running on original and untouched source code. I believe they also included HD audio, from the original masters. Everything sounds clean now! Everything works on the new version, including classic map editors and old custom maps! No legacy compatibility issues. I think it was a good move by blizzard finally releasing the game for free without the HD textures, and having a lower price for the 'remastered version' compared to the old $20 battle chest.
