The slowdown in some PC hardware releases is making it matter less. I was to buy a Meteor Lake set up next year along with a 5090 gfx card but NVidia have delayed the release a year which means theres no real need to upgrade my CPU so soon. I wont care about gaming ram prices for quite some time, and who knows what will happen by then. CPUs might become like Hens teeth if Taiwan is taken over, the whole PC landscape could be in real trouble. That would sink many programming houses too, it would be a huge backward step. Hopefully new/upgraded Fabs can be made functional in time to prevent disaster. So many unknowns atm. Haha, early morning ramble there... need more coffee!

Loving that simile of your about chicken, don't mind if I borrow it right?. back on topic, cannot agree more with you about all those unknown factor lingering around atm. Pandemic has shown (maybe not to all... yes you mag... ok nvm not making this political but you get the idea) that even with some ahead warnings main actors in our society won't give a damn to minimiza damage, all the contrary, will use that info to find ways to scavange peoples corpses and take advantage of those who will be affected. Either way, PC seem to get a dormant state after all the criptoBS, pandemic and whatnot of the last 3 years, and companies now try to jump into AI and pukeGPT to make people keep on fueling that shopping spree although they are not succeeding nobody at least in these market fall that "easily" to empty promises and fearmongering, we ain't no toilet paper hoarders. Good luck, cya 2025, if they decide to launch actually worthy hardware.
