Holy cow some people are either dense, retarded or both. Both the SP and MP portion of this game have online ties, obviously the MP portion is affected more by modders and the use of mods is not fair to everyone inhabiting that online world.
I honestly don't understand the backlash... Copy your already installed instance of GTA:V, download and apply crack, then mod to your hearts content. Wanna play GTA Online? load your legit copy and play the same game everyone else is. It's not rocket science people.

I swear I had read somewhere, prior to release, that gtav was intended to support modding - especially after the success of gta4's modding community. Someone even claimed that modding for sp gtav would open up on xbox one.
Certainly seems in stark contrast.

just get original for MP and download pirated version for mods.only pity are gonna be updates, but hey 🙂 rockstar are probably asking for another top pirated game with their name on..

They should just do what other game companies do and split the online and single player games in two.
So you can do what the hell you like to the SP but not allowed to even touch the MP.
Some games are just made for modding and GTA franchise is one of those games.
The SP is very good but once you've completed it then there should be a whole new world to explore with as many mods as you feel comfortable running.
The best game i ever played was a mod, BF1942 Desert Combat Final, this mod was so good that EA/Dice hired the modders because no one played anything but DCF and we all know what happened to that.

pc gamers cry and whine when Rockstar doesn't release a PC version of their game or delay for a long time. they cry and whine again when they can't use mods for a Rockstar game. and these same people wonder why Rockstar doesn't put a priority on releasing their games on the PC platform.
and rating a bunch of negative reviews isn't helping the PC cause as far as Rockstar is concerned for future releases of their games.

Jesus, just make another copy of game and mod it. They need this in EULA so they can ban cheaters fast and without any legal obstacles.

Not much use in responding some very, very narrow sighted comments here.
If one happens to copy the install, and then use a CRACK, wouldn't they be breaking EULA again, risking an account ban? I think that pretty little theory wouldn't work through, would it?

Especially since the crack would block the online portion and skip account making

Steam actually set this all in motion by having the mods for sale. That stance was reversed not because the players thought it was bad but is was the fact that Steam and the modders were being setup to get sued for making a profit off of someone else's IP.
The addition to the EULA is in response to Steam making the mods a for profit venture. So now we are all faced with the whole option of modding getting ruined by a few greedy individuals. The addition is placed there to prevent this from occurring again. At this point it is just amounting to getting banned.
What this has also done is to setup a new way for the modders to get paid for their work by opening a dialog with the publishers to create official DLC formerly know as "free" mods; players giving back to the community. There is a paradigm shift occurring.

Yes, let's all pirate the game as suggested and actually give credence to the whole pc platform being made up of nothing but pirating individuals. Let's actually bring a speedy end to the whole platform as a result. Excellent plan...I'm all in.

I don't play online.
