Dam i really did not expect them to release an even worse card than the RX 6500 the only way these make any sense imo is if they make it 96bit and 6gb at least then the card wont be so crippled by the stupid pci-e x4 and even then they would have to lower the price for it to make financial sense in 2022. At this point we've gone 2 generations and about 5 years and performance for dollar has actually gotten worse since the gtx 10xx series.....

People seem to be forgetting that the last consumer low-profile card from AMD was the RX 560. If this can compete alongside the GTX 1650, then this will be a worthy upgrade for AMD HTPC builds, especially since mine runs Linux and I want to avoid the nvidia drivers. No H265 encoding or AV1 decoding isn't much of a deal-breaker

Drop the 6500xt to 120 USD and this one to 100 bucks and they become acceptable entry level gaming cards , but yeah the 6500xt came with similar msrp to a 480 .... 6 years later while lacks in features and in general terms it is in the same performance ..... Till you bump to bandwidth limitations or vram limitations ....where the good old 480 can still cope.
