The second you purchase products from R@z3R (insert RGB flashing) you become a victim.

Honestly, forget fines from governments. I think data breaches should entitle individuals to compensation. If every single of the 100,000 customers was entitled to £100 for the data breach, the company would take it more seriously. £100 would be a small amount if I end up having to change or update bank accounts, PayPal, and contact multiple sources that have been accessed using my stolen details. Identity fraud is not a joke and these useless, arrogant companies should pay the price for their constant data mining.

I wrote something similar on Arstechnica and got gazillion down thumbs. But yes, nothing is going to change until real victims, users, are compensated. For example Microsoft and their crappy updates. User are scared to update cause they may end up loosing days recovering PC and loosing data.

Worst products i had in my life were from RAZER, (Mouse and headset) both died JUST after warranty finished. I will never buy anything from Razer. Compare that to my Logitech G3 mouse (11 years and going ? working like new). Or Sennheiser headset also over 9 years ....

My Sennheiser gaming headset has seen some serious abuse from myself over the years and still going strong. Pay for quality, not for the RGB.

I was an avid fan of razer mouses but no more, bought a naga trinity brand new and guess what 7 months passed and double clicks appeared which at 100 euros it's retarded honestly so no more switched to a g-wolves skoll mini and all good.

Synapse always been cancer, still is. Avoid

@liviut @XenthorX This sound so damn familiar.

Yes it does. Everybody's experience when they switched off. I guess the other 50% of Razer buyers don't have such experiences and hence stay. I won't touch them ever again, same thing like @liviut , doubleclick stopped working (and shortly after leftclick itself), 60€ mouse, never again. Been using Logitech like @XenthorX and didn't look back a single day.

@fantaskarsef @cryohellinc So basically what we're saying is that it's a brand of first time buyer with no loyal customers? 😱 Think it was my left click that stopped working, was 10 years ago, i'm not giving this brand another chance anyway.

What a time to be alive. You buy some stupid computer mouse and you need to sign up online to use all of its features by entering your real name, address, phone number, birth date, etc. Why? There are 0 benefits for customers, only negatives as we can see from news in this article. Privacy laws need to be 10 times as strict because companies are still abusing data collection. Only organizations that absolutely require your real info should be allowed to collect it (banks, social security organization, and such). Some PC toy company that makes silly rgb mice and keyboards shouldn't be allowed to collect your data.

My pre-Synapse mouse from Razer lasted long enough - 2 or 3 years.

First their buttons leak clicks, then they insist on taking personal data to use their driver, then they leak that! I'm glad they already put me off after my first mouse failed, nothing to be leaked here.

my experience with razer product, last product that is great is copperhead-era so its around 2006/07 ? after that quality keep dropping last razer mouse i use is imperator, it last like a year, similar to most people but regarding double-click issue, that isnt razer "only" issue, other brands mouses also have similar issue and logitech isnt different either just google logitech double click, reddit/logitech there also many post, some people saying its because the 50millions china-omron-switch (d2fc-f which afaik it used in many mouses), some people said got it fixed by swapping to japan-version (d2f-01f) that said razer product quality is on different level, maybe i consider its on bottom quality

Wow..... I "guess" I'll see how my huntsman elite and deathadder hold up? Been over a year now..... "Knocks on table...." Guess I'm glad I never "bought anything" through razer. And if someone wants to call or stop by you can find my information in a multitude of ways other than a razer account. And here I thought that I was better off leaving logitech and their crippling drivers after some time. At one point I believe their drivers were recognized by windows as a virus and even on their site they were having issues at one point.

they still have same issue ? My diamondback ( which year it was ? :O ) had same issue , double clicks , then almost no clicks , then it died. 2 years 2 months.

You guys must be crazy hard on your stuff. Ive been using all Razer gear for years. Only thing that ever happened was my Adaro DJ headset broke after about a year and half, other than that NOTHING. Everything works perfectly

Most surprising thing about this is that that many people buy directly from Razer.
