The TDP of the 3080 makes very little sense, being so close to the one of the 3090... Now we just need the prices... Maybe you can tell me Hilbert, it´s okay, i won´t say to anyone...

That is never fitting in my Meshify C. I wouldn't mind getting a Gainward GS again sometime, though, big nostalgia feel.

Doesn't say anything about RT cores though does it, I think that will be their main selling point will be +100% RT performance and the new DLSS. Doesn't seem powerful enough to blow away the previous gen like some people thought

Says "2nd gen ray tracing cores" in the Gainward specsheet.

Meshify C has 315mm max GPU length. A post on reddit is claiming this is 292mm, so it should fit. https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/iiq9nn/292mm_in_length_for_the_gainwards_phoenix_triple/

THIS! I've been repeating this on several forums and not getting much traction... a 30W TDP difference for 1000 more CUDA cores and more than DOUBLE the memory! at the SAME clockspeeds.. how does that result in 30W TDP more? Only possible if on different 7nm Nodes... maybe spread across Samsung and TSMC?

Yeah but I have two front fans in there, not sure about it.

"Golden Sample TM" 😀 As for 350W. That's average over course of frame. Depending on phase rendering is in, it will be lower or higher. Current will be mostly between 25~35A, but may have much higher spikes. That remains to be seen. So, no space for 650W PSUs.

The 315mm is with a 25mm front intake fan, 340mm if no fan. I know because I had a 314mm GPU with a 25mm fan in a Define C (same size as Meshify C) and it did fit. 1mm extra space! 🙂

Bottom front fan, though? I just had a look and there appears to be just about 2 inches of extra space with a 2070 Super FE. o_O

Now i want one lol 😀

That huge warning sticker on the back plate....looks like that is going to be ultra toasty

350w as max power draw? Well this takes less than my current GPU. Im down. Means i can keep my 750w psu.

now this is just an observation based on the leaked specs but traditionatlly the 2070 (1070/970 etc) have been a cheaper but pretty close alternative to the 2080 and it's kin, they seem to be killing that this generation judging by the expected 100w gap between the 3070 and 3080. which would make the closeness of the 3080 and 3090 make sence as they are the new 2070/2080 duo...but at a much higher pricepoint >.> though if those performance per watt rumors were also correct the 3080/3090 should be absolute monsters...with a price tag to match T.T

Perhaps the small discrepancy in TGP between 3080 /3090 is due to the 3080 having a good load of RT cores and all that other stuff. I imagine the 3070 won't have near as many RT cores as 3080.

More likely, both cards are pushed to limits.

All eyes are on the rtx 3090, can't wait for results, going to be very interesting, thanks for sharing.

Just thinking about the hype. Did nvidia come out and blatantly say our 3 series cards are going to be an incredible leap in performance over the 2 series? Or was it basically the internet gang hyping this shit all along? What if it's a mediocre upgrade? The butthurt is going to be insane on this one if it's just a tad bit better. Journalism is really in the shit can now.

Isn't it always the same?
