Usually from what I've seen console variants of big time PC games don't do too well. Not multiplatform like Battlefield 1 or COD, but games originally on the PC ported later to console. Pretty much all Valve games were awful on the 360, Quake Wars while very short lived on PC had basically 0 on consoles, Minecraft is about the only one that worked out well enough.

Yup pretty much (though, wasn't Portal, or maybe Portal 2 relatively successful on consoles?) Don't forget Sims and Starcraft! It amazes me how companies thought porting those games was going to be a good and profitable idea. I swear there was another game ported from PC to consoles that was notorious for being an utter failure but I can't think of what it is.

Problem is at least with the Sims is it just kind of fizzled out in general, it was big on consoles back around the Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2 but that's about it.

...feeling really old right about now. serious congrats though. i learned fortran and basic in h.s. on a terminal linked into the regional computer at u.c.l.a. dot matrix printer too 😱 oh yeah... there was only one terminal for the whole class. now i'm a gonna get up out of this rocking chair and i'm gonna kick some 😱
:D How young do you think I am? I learned BASIC on a C64 back in the days, think dot matrix was the only kind of printer we had available, nowadays I works at a school for children with all kind of disabilities, ½ time IT management and support, ½ time in class. I'm including those interested and able to in selecting parts, planning and building the machines while giving their teachers some ideas to include that into their Danish, English and Math lessons etc. And since we have a limited budget all machines run Linux, works quite okay for the main tournament games. PS. I think throwing BASIC at them would be over the top,
