Quick Nvidia, raise the prices even higher!

The ramp of our new platforms ― Ada Lovelace RTX graphics, Hopper AI computing, BlueField and Quantum networking, Orin for autonomous vehicles and robotics, and Omniverse ― is off to a great start and forms the foundation of our next phase of growth
So, Nvidia managed to develop the quantum entanglement based, faster than light communication we all know from various scifi titles, and is now ramping up the production of the devices?

"Gaming saw a third-quarter revenue of US$1.57 billion, a 51% YoY decrease" We know now why the 4080's are priced so high and why they sold out day one. Nvidia has some serious 3xxx stock to get rid of, so they do not want to sell too many 4xxx cards just yet.

you want one? Microcenter in KC has plenty in stock, people aren't buying them and not camping out like they were in 2021/2022.

What sold out? I just checked one of the popular stores and they have lots and lots of 4080 in stock, various models. 4090 is the one that sold out for a moment after the release, from a much smaller stock than 4080, naturally, but even those are now available, especially if you aren't super particular about the brand.

Lol nvidia is just loving this market, ppl keep paying sky high prices so it's no surprise. I made the switch to amd after being let down for 2 generations and couldn't be happier, I payed about 300$cad less than the equivalent nvidia card.

Well, the 4080's seem to be sitting longer than the 4090's. Have people finally decided to stop paying ridiculous prices for cards? New Egg sold out quickly initially...though as of today I saw 3 or 4 cards available. It just doesn't make sense to pay $1,500 for a 3rd party card when the 4090 starts at $1600. This pricing just makes no sense and the msrp being so high to begin with leaves little room for extra cooling and oc editions to drive up higher prices that make sense. The 4080 will drop in price Jan. 3rd.

In my country, 4080 from AIB partners starts at 1950+ euros. So yeah to make it even worse than what you wrote this is way out of any consideration atm. I am starting to believe that previous years' inflated graphics cards prices was an experiment from Ngreedia and not coin farming issue of high demand. The prices fro 4090 starting +500 euros. In that manner, everything is "aligned"

Of course gaming sales are down 51%, there's no more miners buying up huge stocks of cards. Even if the 4090 was $900 and the 4080 $650 the sales would still be down.

You can see which websites are on Team Green just by searching for "4080 overpriced". Tom's definitely in cahoots.

I can confirm that even in my shitty availability country, there's at least 3 models of 4080 to buy right now (even some high end ones like the TUF), starting at 1750 up to 2000 euros... so yeah, maybe, just MAAAAYBE things are moving in the right direction (as in people not buying them).

4090 and 4080 are both sold out here in France. I read Nvidia GPU inventory reportedly doubled on year to year? They’ve way too many GPU to get rid off on their inventory.

They are? None of the 4080 models are sold out in denmark... which is hardly surprising. It's an awful gpu for the money... pay a bit more and get a MUCH faster 4090.

Yep, checked three mainstream French online store, 4080/4090 both sold out. Edit: Found available 4080 on another mainstream French online store.

Proshop has tons... https://www.proshop.dk/?s=4080 Even one of the very cheapest (tuf non-oc) Not a single 4090 though... lol. I think the reports are true... they made quite a few 4090's initially, but now are only producing 4080's, cause they will make ALOT more money per gpu with 4080
