Holy...50GB!? That must be a first in gaming history!
I think Metal Gear Solid 4 filled up an entire Blu-Ray. Not sure if it was a single or dual layer blu-ray though. So it could of been 24GB or 50GB in size. This was due to the fact it had fully uncompressed audio.

I think this would run fine on 7850HD/GTX660 on maximum setting without heavy aa and "THE PHYSX".
I believe this too. And that 50Gb of hardisk space will kill my 128gb ssd...

as allways comparing the 550ti with a R 5870 ,when the 5850 is superior to the 550ti
5870 a lot more powerful than 550ti!!!

Hah imagine if they just sold the game on an SSD.

That's going to be a fair chunk of the PC CoD community left unhappy.
what 5 people?

The installer could be made much smaller....and if you ever get tired of the game, you could just format it and use it as a system drive.
what 5 people?
I know more than 5 people that play CoD on PC....

True but if you ever intended to reinstall the game, it'd be a real bitch. What I really don't get is why PC games aren't compressed like console games. There are plenty of games that take up over 10GB on a computer but fit on a dual-layer DVD for consoles. PCs are more capable of decompressing the data than consoles, so why do they have to get the full-sized data? On modern hardware, games would load significantly faster this way. I have actually tested and proven this.

I think what he meant to say is only 5 CoD fans would find the game requirements to too much of a turnoff to get the game.

Slightly more than 5. http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
there's allot of steam users but nothing about cod i see a top 10 player count but nothing about cod? so is there a comparison to cod for pc player count vs console? that would be more on the subject. you got a list for how many origin users there are too?

Click to extend and view the top 100. There's over 40,000 people currently playing various releases of it as of my posting this according to Steam. Not sure if there's anything like that for Origin.

As I know more than 5 people who play CoD (on PC no less)...those same people would ditch PC in a second for console simply to avoid upgrades.

i believe it was the first star wars force unleashed that took 50gb, i could be wrong
On that note, for PC games that required a disc to run, I never understood why they weren't used to load (live) some in-game content, such as music or cutscenes. Both of those take up a considerable amount of disk space but can easily be loaded from an optical disc without slowing down the game. If anything, doing this would improve load speeds, since it's 1 less thing for the HDD to be working on.
No, No, NO!, i do NOT WANT to have to keep track of the stupid discs because someone felt it was better to keep data on the disc, absolutely NOT. Also, you have very little storage for this day in age....low end laptops can have more then yours easily, stock, and even those that don't...come quite close...there's no reason for such a low amount of storage, especially since the price for them is ridiculously high comparatively (per gb)

No COD is using a heavily optimized graphics engine in this round. This should be really good. Just have a peek at some of the screenshots in the news item.
If you ask me it still looks similar and the game play looks eerily very similar despite all this tripe about the engine. Probably just a marketing ploy

Again, how many discs maybe 5? or a Bluray!?

I hope the hit detection has been improved also is this a new engine or is it still loosely based on q3 engine.

It's based on a engine that was based on a engine that was based on q3 engine.
