Worst case scenario for 8g is using dlss balanced,which you need anyway to hit +60fps in heavy rt games. 10g is going to be absolutely fine.

This is not the piece of hardware that somebody buys just because they are swayed by a biased review, or influencer. The figures are clear and in black and white, as is the price and power/thermal characteristics. The 4090 is the fastest available commercial gaming GPU. The figures should not be up for debate as they ate facts and easily reproduced. I would say the sheep in this case are those jumping on the bandwagon to shame anybody buying the hardware they want.
Yeah, I know sometimes, some posters get to me, and there're better (or worse, depends on who you see it) things to get worked up about than this. Hence, my penchant for the usage of the 'ignore' option. Well you have guessed every price apart from the 4080, and for how long was a 3080 available for 699usd, I don't know the answer I'm just wondering.
Ppl really need to stop buying cards at these prices they're trying to get away with, they only do it because they can and we still buy em I think I'll be sitting on my current card for 5 years now like I did with my gtx 1080 before it and I hope more ppl do the same.
I'll gladly take 10G g6 4060/ti, should be around 200W, ~3080 performance in raytracing. tbh that's all that matters to me. energy efficiency and rt performance. for rasterization my 3060Ti does more than enough, I wouldn't even upgrade it for that.
since i skipped the 3060ti purchase i am waiting to see what the 4060 can bring in the table perf/price wise ... hell if the 4050 is equal to the 3060ti i might snatch the 4050 depends perf/ration 4060 vs 4050 ...aaaaaand how long it will take for each one to come we will see ....but i REAAAAAAAAALLY REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY want to retire my 1060 .... poor card's retirement is already delayed by 2 years +!

Who is buying these cards? People are not buying the 4090s recently either, stores are waiting for more orders just to restock. The 4080s are also sitting on shelves and have never been out of stock.
I got my 3090s for nearly nothing, looking at all these invoices and receipts of people paying $3300+ for a 3090 is just crazy. Some even got a 3090 just for Fortnite at 1080p.
