Probably a lot of reviewers tested new cards the wrong way with wrong drivers and at incorrect star alignment and couldn't find the promised 2x uplift in performance so Nvidia decided to wait for Mars and Venus to get into the right position. 😀

typical nvidia marketing bullshit, it is all about as little info before pre-order starts so people buy blindly on hype

Maybe reviewers got their card late (covid) or it's Nvidia who want the reviews to go up last minute to help early sale because of the performance maybe not matching nvidia own slide....Who knows... But by looking at the leaked result for 3080 from videocardz, I would say 2080ti owner who sold their card for 1k USD or up did well, the ones who sold their for 500 USD probably not......

The date was pushed back to give reviewers more time to finish up, some still hadn't received cards yet.

If they price them right, I might be interested. If they continue with pricing like we saw with the 2000 series, then this release is far less intriguing.

Why delay it nvidia? Something went wrong, need a driver update becouse first benchmarks ware not as marketed? Hah. It only points out these ware true.

Placed 3070 launch near the RDNA 2 launch, let's see how this goes

Probably some reviewers got them late, or we're going to have a Pascal Killer driver in launch???

Not a last minute bios update is it?

They need to uplift performance before big Navi with 80 cores comes and obliterate everything at performance, watt & price ratio. They feel nervous.

Edit covid delivery delay... and where are the 3090 reviews?

Do we know why? Feels to me like Ampere is the kind of architecture that will benefit quite a bit from driver updates, this might be it. Hilbert do you know anything that you can say about this?

Do you really need to go around trolling and trying to start flame wars? Literally no need to make up conspiracy theories.

Reviews are sub par (the 2x performance was lie) and the blind buys are stellar. And they want to keep it that way.

No it absolutely does not make a sense to push the date because of few ppl MAYBE not receiving the samples at the correct day.

It is just strange its delayed two days before the review and after leaked lets say not accurate benchmarks.
