They just said what we are all thinking. Got to love HU. 😀

3070 Ti with no DLSS = 2070 Super 😀

3070ti have not enough vram as it is to run Doom Eternal 4k ultra nightmare and they are marketing raytracing? This is silly.

Are they expensive? Yes. Will they sell in seconds? Yes. Do they have enough stock to meet demand? Certainly Not! So why would they lower the price? It's not like they're on war with AMD or Intel to keep the products off the shelves. I think they're cheap (not being ironical or cynical), these were never meant for budget oriented people and high pricing means they'll be harder to get and make a profit on for mining. If you're mad about the current hardware situation and you know someone that either mines or trade crypto, bully them. We need to start fighting back in some way. A company only reason to exist is profit, not to make us happy with their products (that's just a coincidence side effect of getting the sweet hardware to game on).

While scalpers are scalping, Nvidia is subsidizing the market with artificially low prices that do not reflect the demand at all Meanwhile HU: Nvidia Shameless Money Grab :D

Moonbogg:

Considering the 3080 is supposed to be $700, the Ti variant in a sane world should be $800. $1200 is already ridiculous, but these will probably cost twice that anyway and they'll be gone in an instant and never restocked, so not like it matters.
And there is barely 8% difference (on RT games is barely 5 fps) between 3080 and 3090 to justify a card which costs so much money in the middle of those 2. 3080 is the better buy if someone wants Nvidia, otherwise 6900XT is cheaper than the 3080Ti!!!!!

3080Ti is a money grab. $1200 for a GPU sitting on the tiny performance gap (barely 8%) between 3080 ($700) and 3090 ($1500) While is 20% more expensive than the much faster 6900XT and 75% more expensive than the 3080? It is the very definition of money grab.

Astyanax:

"Shameless money grab?" Yet its nvidia thats adhering to its RRP's, and not cancelling products (and locked in pre-orders) to cheap out on a backplate and jack up the price. Can you even get a 6800/6900 for RRP?
From AMD store every Thursday when there is a drop 🙂

Awful pricing with the 3080 ti
You know that they'd sell out instantly even at double the price don't you?

These cards are too expensive even at those (imaginary) prices!... Looks like my 1080Ti is here to stay for the next couple of years. Maybe it´s time to upgrade other parts of my system.

Everything sells out instantly, whats your point?

The msrp prices is a complete myth , i have seen stores like newegg marking up and heavy price gouging current cards like rx 6700 for &1,200US / rtx 3070 for $1,000US , just like scalpers on ebay as it seems every store is doing the same so i do not expect anywhere near msrp prices when they hit the market. Sad but is the thruth. Prices on gpus are just bonkers...

Why? Same performance as the 1500 RTX 3090.
Hulk12:

RTX 3090 is better quality price/performance for VRAM size because it will can run more (many) future games than 3080 Ti at specs recommended in next +/-5 years.
By that time the RTX 3090 is outdated anyways.

Best thing about this release will be the driver coming with it. Atleast if it's not a botched one.

My point is that they could double the price and still sell all the units they make until the end of this year.

Can't claim my buying a complete new gaming computer last November was a 'clever' move, the 780's & other components were 7 years old. But the £3,400 I paid seems like a bargain now. I paid £900 for an ASUS Rog Strix 3080 OC within that system and have zero interest in paying £2,000 - £2,500 for a 3080Ti alone. I feel sorry for anyone chasing after a graphics card (alone) at the moment and can't see the supply/prices situation improving anytime soon.
