So this is around 29 GB to download with a 75 GB install. That is some really impressive compression! :-O

it's a 29.2gb DL and 76gb after installing

High Quality shadows ccan have an impact on fps , tried 4k with it and i was playing at 50-55fps all the time , when i lowered the shadows it was solid 60fps with everything else maxed

Wow, this game's graphics look so underwhelming on PC maxed out at 4K; I thought it was quite a nice looking game on my PS4 Pro!!! Textures are not great, there's lots of specular aliasing and anti-aliasing on the whole is poor to mediocre despite running at 4K on a 2560x1440. On top of that I could not apply the graphics settings from the launcher menu as they kept resetting to windowed 1280x720 on the lowest settings with a 30 fps framerate cap. In the end I had to load the game and set the graphics options from there - which worked - but you cannot set the resolution in-game (typical Koei-Tecmo oversight!) so I had to go to the config file and edit the resolution in there. Not a great start.
The game is capped at 60 fps but at least runs with consistent frametimes so it feels buttery-smooth in motion. However, the cutscenes, which I believe are real-time, are at 30 fps so the switch between those and gameplay is jarring. Also, when entering new areas the game stutters for me; not exactly a game-breaker but disappointing to see considering the visuals are not exactly amazing. That's not to say they're ugly but the console origins are obvious here and there's been no attempt to add 4K textures or any other enhancements over the PS4 version.
Gameplay is great though. There's plenty of loot to discover and while the opening Tower of London area isn't the most interesting location to start off with the difficulty level is much lower than, say, Dark Souls so it doesn't feel quite so punishing... until you meet the first boss anyway. It's a perfectly serviceable port on the whole but don't go expecting anything more than the PS4 version except for a locked resolution of up to 4K (the PS4 version used a dynamic resolution that went as low as 1280x720 at times!).

@Darren Hodgson From what I've seen PS4 Pro tend to give those micro stuttering in you enter a new area too. :/
As for the game visuals as far as I've seen yep, it's nothing beautiful, still I think it is a better port overall than Dark Souls 1 was at the time.

i played the game on 7600k+960 1440p high to medium settings , mostly 60fps

not so nice on Mouse&Keyboard

Darren, have you made sure you have rendering set to high ? I think the game looks much cleaner than it did on ps4 pro.

Yeah low seems to be 0.5x display res, medium being 0.75x and high being 1.0x or native from what I've read. 🙂

Its a bit strange - performance..
Also the game will keep its settings if you start with nioh launcher.exe instead of normal exe.
I found two sets of settings, normal main one - that can revert if ran from normal exe shortcut

I tired SSAA4 and set resolution to 2880x1620, but no effect.
Im forcing FXAA in driver, seems to look smoother, also negative LOD -0.500 for more crispiness and texture detail.
I tried TransparencyAA 4xss, but now Im getting 50fps drops in that prison. Testing gfx settings a bit more..
EDIT: ok TrAA doesn't have that big fps drop, its yes SHADOWS @ High killing it, lowering to medium made 60fps vsync...
Maybe @ high means 4096x4096, and @ medium 2048x2048,
now at medium I didn't really see lower quality, if its really 2048 then its still detailed 🙂

reshade crashes the game , no chance of playing it w/reshade at all

Yep, it needs to be high or the render resolution runs below display res.
I'm using 1440p, all settings on high except for shadows at medium and it's locked at 60fps, it looks and plays great.
