LOL Origin causes piracy. I have a legit gamekey for Crysis3 but because Origin sucks ass I was getting dripfed the 15GB file @100K. So instead of waiting 6yrs 3weeks 2days to complete, I just leeched a pirated copy and got the whole game in about 4 hrs. Yay for digital d/l.

Should've capped your speed, at least your download would've lasted longer than that game.

I don't agree whit you. Piracy is not a caused for high prices on games, it is just use as an excuse. The real cause is GREED they want to get the max profit from them, there were times when they did games in 4-5 years and now they do them in 1-2 max and if you look at the end credits on them you will see like 100 ppl. MAX working on that game (testers not included). They sell like 1 mil. copies at 30 and get 30 mil from witch if you add the packing, marketing and salary's for all they get a minim of 15 mil profit (on a good game). Think at 70 will get 70 mil ... The problem is that they want to more money AND another problem is that making games at high prices on console (were you can't "test them" like on PC were you can test a pirated game) is helping them in case the game is bad and not many will buy them. Just think at this they make a game for console like GOD of WAR all want to buy it from the start so if the game is bad you still got it cause you wanted it from the first day, but if they made it on PC you got on pirated play'd it an ups no point to buy it is so BAD. !!!:banana:

Well since there's nothing official on this yet (just speculation/an opinion at this point), no need to really have an opinion on the matter... but... if prices do go up, quality better go along with it. Kind of tired of needing to buy DLC these days... Buy game, finish it in a few hours, then wait to get raped even more - rinse and repeat.

This makes me laugh. Each time a console gets one up on the other, they screw it up by ripping the consumer off in another way. All the consoles deserve failure, the cost and aggravation is a disgrace. If you buy 10 games a year, over a 2 year period, you could have bought a pretty good PC instead and had much better quality. And thats just over the first 2 years, a PC can be upgraded for much less than the initial cost and will only get more powerful. After the first 2 years (where you dont need to upgrade), about £100 to £200 upgrades a year average will give you a decent gaming PC, the lower price of games will easily fund this! So you can have more games and in better quality. No brainer imo.

But what about Steam, and its equivalents for PC gaming these days. It's no longer possible to swap games with your pals after you've completed/grown tired of them. Once loaded, a game is tied to your PC's configuration, ruling out thoughts of even upgrading a graphics card. 😉

That is entirely false. Games are tied to your Steam account, nothing more.
