That woman is full of shit. They were in his hotel and they were in a brief relationship for around 2-3 months after this incident. Elf should've stood his ground but I have no sympathy for him. His reputation has been btfo as that of a creepy rapist or something lmao.

Not very familiar with the emu scene but I can believe it. Was this person trans? I vaguely remember something. Neogaf used to have really nice people a long time ago. They helped to raise money for someone's cancer treatment. I think it was 2012 or 13. Older members will say x, y, z timelines for the site's decline but imho it was when the loony mods with agendas were brought in and bishoptl's ridiculous bans (which he got fired for eventually). Sad end. I used to browse that forum daily in the lead up to the PS4 and Xbox one. 'member #PS4nodrm or Adam Orth (always online drm controversy)? In the end it was just harassment against people like the last night and Rime devs.

Yep that was a transgender dev there, you're remembering it correctly. Well personal agendas or political interestest shouldn't even remotely be a part of any gaming (dev) community platform imho. That's why I support HH's no politics policy (hehe) he quoted himself a few posts above ours.

Most of the people here are normal and trying to actually help / discuss things in a civilized manner. Part of HH's and the mods' efforts.

The problem is that everybody can call themselves gaming journalists or reviewers. Half of what's considered a viable source for reviews is definately a biased gamer doing a yt video long enough to be monetized. Back in the days before the internet there were real journalists who wrote about their stuff, they seemed to be way less deranged than what we see today. Way less. 😀

I remember I would buy those game magazines back in the day, that was the good stuff. I remember one calling out several mistakes in Oblivion when it came out, saying how it was such a step back from Morrowind except for the graphics, that was an honest review. These days, for example, Bethesda releases that awful excuse for a game that is Fallout 4 and they're praised like gods by the gaming journalism community.

Yeah I don't really care about Gaf going down even though I've been a member there for years now. Only thing that was good in there was the console/PC screenshot threads and Durante's stuff. OT Community was pure cancer.

Durante was also banned so forget about him and his neogaf association. All they had was Stinkles aka 343i's Frank O'Connor and some guy who did QA or whatever on Overwatch. Both would for the most part harp on the OT side of the things unless it was an opportunity to shill on the gaming side. I glanced over at /v/neofag and the new site seems to be awful.
