Netherwind:

Here in Sweden the difference is quite small. Most cards cost ~15k SEK and this one costs 16k SEK so just a 10% difference.
IMO this card is well worth it just for super high power limit so you'll never have to suffer power throttling (which is very common with 2080Ti) and it also has the best 2080Ti cooler as well.

Sorry if i post one link of another website....but if I want to purchase this card the noise and temperature are very important for me . https://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/126545-msi-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-lightning-z/?page=11
It's all in the details man. Hexus is using Be Quiet Dark Base 700 silent case with silent fan profile. This is one of the worst airflow cases and on top of that they enabled silent fan profile, like WTF. That poor 2080Ti Lightning is choking in that case without any airflow.

Will this be limited edition too like the 1080TI lighting ? So you cant find it anywhere after 1 week, and only 3 shops sell it...

Yes, I guess you can expect that. It's in the nature of the card, not many want it, they don't ship 10 units to every reseller... and the bigger ones probably take (inofficial) preorders anyway.

Well even the MSI 2080 TI are completely unavailable anywhere (at least in Switzerland) cause MSI fuck up big time the production, so i wonder how this one will go

I still can't get my head around the idea that this card is either 1000 pound or 1700 pound. Same card but 700 pound extra for an OC version lol. sorry for the profanity but really fuckin hell that's a joke right? Since when are cherry picked chips worth nearly 700 pound more. The difference is about 200mhz over clock or higher clocks.

Very nice that there are high res PCB photos now. Now just dump some dangerous liquid metal on its shunts and dump it into liquid helium.

Awesome card and fantastic review as always Hilbert. I'm shop jealous of those lucky enough to snag one of these. On a side note, how good world it be to see a Radeon 7 lightrning based on this cooler.

Two hours ago, the MSI lightning Z arrived to my house. This afternoon I'll test it.
data/avatar/default/avatar22.webp
Hello again, first tests done: card fresh out of the box, https://www.3dmark.com/spy/5933194 with a first OC +100 (core) +500 (memory) https://www.3dmark.com/spy/5933362 and a second OC +100 +1000. https://www.3dmark.com/spy/5933817 Port Royal (second OC settings) https://www.3dmark.com/pr/27339 The voltage has not been changed, only the consumption limit to the maximum with the basic bios (+ 108%) P.S: great temps and silent fans (at 100% too). The USB-C is fully functional (tested with Wacom Cintiq PRO 16 4k)

I remember the days you could by the top line for $350
When was that? Can you give an example of such a time?

Around the 9700 Pro days But it's not really a fair comparison. Inflation and this is a highly modified card. The "basic" 2080ti is much cheaper. Still, to me the 2080ti is not a good deal considering the card it's taking over for and it's price. Cards are increasingly going up and not having the performance increases we've seen from years past. Yet I plan to buy this card if it ever comes to sale in the US close to msrp.
