this form factor is getting popular. if prices get a little more affordable i can see casual computer users replacing older towers to make better use of the available space.

Most people seem to be swapping to laptops these days, since now desktops are really only good for power users. These mini computers are using laptop chips, so unless you have your own keyboard, mouse, display, and speakers, it usually doesn't make sense to get one of these over a laptop.

What I see in business environments is computers like these hooked up to big presentation displays, mounted right on the back of them.

Well, yes and no. Loys of offices have already those peripherals, they only need the small computer.Attaching then miniPC to a monitor is Lego easy, so why not ?

Totally agree - mini PCs have been very common for offices, libraries, kiosk desks, and other low-stress roles for the better part of a decade. However, those devices are produced in much larger batches and are typically cheaper than a Cubi. They also can be mounted to the back of a display pretty easily.

I like the idea of having a 32 inch display that meets my requirements ,with one of these mounted on the vesa mount. Accompanied with a keyboard and a mouse that i chose . When not at home i use my laptop.
