So much for the rumors that this would be a great buy. It's not bad compared to the competition's pricing, but it's certainly not a steal of a deal as many had been hoping for. :/

I agree. I was really hoping for a $299 price. They needed that impulse buy price for the RT version.

Pre-ordered one for $679 with keyboard, comes with Office and 2 year warranty. The only incentive that it shipped for free.

If I were to spend that money, I'd rather spend on a proven product - the iPad.

Apps is a big issue with consumers, they have some catching up to do. the second issue is convincing those who have money invested in such apps to just drop them only to move to Surface and want to use those same apps...and pay more money for them. $1.49 minimum vs .99 cent minimum. though i suppose its petty cash really, but i certainly don't want to start over from my Ipad just so i have a different tablet...yet anyway. the flipstand and keyboard is nice, that's about it. Ipad 3 has higher resolution and all my apps i paid for...tough decision

i could get this but i just got 10'1" note for the drawing tablet performance and it's awesome. :P feels like using wacom but it's android tablet :P starting to feel apple is bringing out devices with "high" resolution O.o iphone 4 and 4s had interlacing problems. so my wild guess is all the high res devices are interlaced to max.
