No one is going to want to use the Windows Store, if an alternative exists, so long as they keep using their bizarro encrypted format for how files are stored. That completely prevents modding of any sort, which defeats half the purpose of playing on a PC in the first place.

Microsoft confirms mod support for Microsoft Store games on PC - Neowin Tho if a game dev wants to support modding it's there.

Their store and games management is utter crap. Had problems with getting Forza 3 working in multiplayer, same story with Forza 4. And u have to have installed Xbox and other crap, otherwise it doesn't work...

The problem is you, these games use xbl services and handle their own ports.

Aha, sure. 2 different PC, same, newest is version 20h, all updated, all on. And I have to search online, how to make teredo working properly. Definitely it is my fault. Weird, steam, gog, epic, EA stores don't have such a problems. Probably my imagination. Ms store is just perfect. And all related too.

I wish they would look into how game addons are stored, as example, when I assign all games to go to drive X addons for the games still end up on C.

Biggest part of getting Teredo to work comes from setting the router configuration correct, it works with a none tweaked Windows installation.

Bingo, and the factor involved in "Tweaking" the windows install is the user, so they are the factor involved in things not working and "needing" to fix things.

About time, i mean i have not really had that much of a issue apart from updating games which still requires you to open the W10 store to do it, even if you have the gamepass app........so yeah make it more streamlined and more of a one click for all and i will be happy. lol I even got HDR working on my PC with my Forza games, so just fixe the W10 store and get it more in line with how easy it is to update and on the xbox and we will be a sorted.

The store is indeed a bit horrendous to use. Xbox app is quite nice but as you said updating lol.

Yeah the app works great, almost just like having a xbox console inside your PC, but updating is still a chore, so i hope they fix this and streamline it, i just want a one click updating now option, and yes i have become very lazy. lol
