After all this time trying to shove that down customer's throats. Good riddance, we will never miss you Cortana.

But it's also not like you don't get such bloatware with any upcoming windows... it just changed it's name and looks. Genesys is Skynet.

Always removed it from my Windows installs. It's just bloatware.

Now we can look forward to more intrusive AI tools. We better figure out how to put controls on AI, or we are in for a heap of trouble.

Me too. Never saw the point of it on a Windows machine.

AI on the Edge browser for example? Another reason to not use it.

They never tried to make me use it, nor did it show popups about using it.

And yet most are perfectly fine with "Hey Google" or Hey Siri". Boggles the mind how many lose their mind when it is something that Microsoft does yet are perfectly OK with the exact same thing from Google or Apple.

Some people hate Microsoft so much that they keep using Windows.

Because it's useful on a phone or tablet. Cortana trying to online search when looking for local files and trying to hijack what I am doing. Naw. You can simp for it but most of us hate for Ed intrusive programs and features on desktop.

I just reinstalled Windows 11 Pro. So many apps that can't be uninstalled or are just links. Kindle for example? The ability to uninstall Cortana would be useful too.

Cortana's execution was terrible in comparison. By default, Ok Google and Hey Siri "just work". They don't take up any space on the UI, you don't have to activate anything on your phone, they take up much fewer system resources, and they don't use Bing for search results. While Cortana can be summoned verbally without taking up any of the UI, you have to know to configure it like that (which a lot of people probably don't know). For what it's worth, I don't use any of these services. There's rarely a moment where it would make sense for me to do so.

Never used it on a computer, the only time when I used to make a real comparative was when I had a Nokia 720. A few times. I was disappointed. Not that assistants are my cup of tea.

It ok for it to be on there phone and other mobile devices, but if MS does the same thing it not OK.... It is rather funny seeing they all do samething and one can actual use gps in your device and actual find you
