As the official music provider on XBox is already Spotify since Groove library have moved to Spotify, it is logical...

Xbox Game Pass for PC
Whoah whoah whoah....wait!....do you mean to tell me that people are now putting into place plans to charge PC gamers for using their PC to play online multiplayer games!??!!??!! I remember when a colleague of mine told me he had to pay Microsoft for playing MP games online with his Xbox and I honestly thought he was joking and even when he showed me the web page, I initially thought he had created it in photoshop or something as an office prank. NOW THIS IS COMING TO PC? I'm out. It's been fun...it's been emotional.

No, what you're thinking is Xbox Live Gold (which is also included in Game Pass Ultimate, but if you're just a PC player, you don't need that). Some Xbox games also don't require it. It isn't required for multiplayer on the PC and Microsoft stated it won't be (but who knows, right? I feel PC players would riot if that happened, though, and MS knows it). Just like Game Pass for Xbox One, Game Pass for PC (or Windows 10, more accurately) is similar to EA's Origin Access Premier and whatever Ubisoft's new offering is called, where you pay a monthly (or yearly or whatever you choose) fee to have a certain library of games available to play while you're subscribed (a flat rate for "rental" of sorts) instead of buying them. You can then play these games that you do not own as long as your Game Pass subscription is active. Once you let your subscription lapse, you won't be able to play these games anymore. It's an alternative to buying games, which is nice in cases where you'd only play a game through once, etc.. Game Pass Ultimate includes all three of these things, Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass for PC. Game Pass Ultimate is only good for those that play both on the PC and Xbox One and presumably is a bit cheaper for those players than getting all three of these subscriptions separately, which you can do as well, of course. If you just wish to utilize the Game Pass for PC, you can only subscribe to that and play all the games available for Game Pass on PC, including online multiplayer.

Not how it works. Game pass for PC gives you access to full games - as many as you want for the subscription fee. I got the 2months for $2 which was a great deal to play Gears 5 and a few other games, but I won't be continuing my subscription beyond the 2 months, as there really aren't enough compelling games IMO.

Godamn subscriptions.
Cave Waverider:

(Sony and Nintendo do the same for their consoles, by the way, I guess it's standard practice because console players accept being raped like that).
Let me paraphrase: the standard practice is basically teenagers using their parents credit cards, and that includes lootboxes. So, because there are bad parents that let their kids use their credit cards, they want to extoll charging teenagers to grown-ups? Good grief. This cannot continue. I am writing to the government as we speak, and no, I am not joking. Forunately (in my country) all members of the elected government must hold council with the electorate by appointment, and that is what I am going to do. This is....insanity.

Are you high or just having an episode? You don't have to use or subscribe. You don't have to use Origin's Premium subscription and Uplay has one too..or you don't subscribe and pay for the games. Your CHOICE.

What is Spotify?
Another audio DRM distribution service. The *music that comes with Amazon Prime, blows chunks. The quality is worst than 128kbps MP3

Thanks, I heard the name but I have never bothered to look up... How can it be related to game platform? Or does XBOX streams music (now) too? PS I will never use streamed music. I am perfectly fine with my portable HI-FI music player.

Well I'm not sure about consoles, but there might be an app or program for spotify to run on consoles. Like my smartTV has a spotify app available for it. What do you use, if I may ask ooc? I still miss my portable cassette player... and the days of the portable discman have long since passed...

Not bad an offer from both MS and Spotify. I already have Spotify thanks to my younger cousin having an account which he can add other members to just like YouTube premium/red.

That is not a choice. That is charging people additional money for playing a computer game they have already paid for. No. Just no. I am booked in to see my local representative for central government on the 18th. I'll let you know how that goes, but as there are government committees already in existence and some discussions pending...this will be interesting.

What are you talking about? Nobody is charging you more money for a game you already paid for. You subscribe and you get to play whatever game you want free of charge until your subscription ends.

Why do you insist on this? Many people already have told you that the Xbox Game Pass, Uplay+, etc, has nothing to do with that. Xbox Game Pass is basically a "Netflix of games" (with the streaming exception, because you can install the games on the PC), you have a catalog available and you enjoy it while you pay! No one forces you to pay to play online, no one forces you to pay for games you already have, basically it's a game rental instead of buying them. Anyone who wants to can continue to buy the games, who does not want can pay the monthly fee and play without spending $50 or 60$ for each game.

If a game has a retail price and a % of that cost is to cover development of the game, which includes the development of the MP/Online component, then I do NOT think it is right or just that I am charged to play the MP/Online component of the game. I think that is pretty clear.

You're not paying to play the multiplayer part on PC. You've never needed an xbox live subscription to play PC multiplayer games. On consoles, you're paying to use their online service that just happens to host the multiplayer components.

Yet, on the PS3, I never had to pay anything for this - PS4, I do. No justification at all. I am against this in all of its forms in every single way.
