I personally am a couch area user. i sit on a couch and all my gaming/multimedia stuff is all about maybe 4 feet in front of me and i have secondary monitors slightly to my left and right so i can watch movies or have browsers open while im gaming and ****. with that said i recently plugged in some old tn panel acers i had in my closet to get some extra desktop space to accompany this 24" SOYO monitor i bought years ago that is an ips panel but it uses the ccfl or whatever so its really thick and it has wicked image burn in. but after seeing the horrible viewing angles of the tn panel acer monitors i ended up unplugging them after a couple days because it was just really bad. my main screen is a 32" LG tv and its really nice. but in my circumstance tn panels simply do not work at all anymore. they are ok when you sit in front of them straight on but ugh otherwise. ill gladly go with VA panels if it means affordable 4k. it sucks you cant get the best of both worlds and have a nice VA, PLS, IPS, etc 4k panel with 120+hz as well! i guess we wont be seeing any of that til the new connection standards start being used though. new displayport and hdmi2.0 that is.

well sony is putting out the new 49" one. ;-) should be 2000$ or less. can do 4K/4K Netflix streaming, comes with triluminos, tweaked Xreality, plus the upscaling is the best on the market.. the 55" has no visible pixel at 1ft distance, so...

Can only do 4K Netflix streaming if your internet connection can handle it....

And if your ISP doesn't fine you into the ground for going over the cap or cut you off for hogging the bandwidth.

I have an unlimited connection and despite downloading 500GB+ per month I've never been bugged ..Now I only need a 4k monitor 😀

1440p/110hz is a great place to be. It makes much more sense than 4K does at the moment. Couple of years time I'm sure it'll be great though.
