The age of OLED is finally coming. I wonder how they handle a typical office /work screen with a mostly white static image. I know these are gaming monitors, but a lot of people do work on their PC as well, it would suck to have to switch monitors just to preserve the OLED lifetime.

After LG's OLED Flex LX3 (42") really hope CES 2023 (5th jan - 8th jan 2023) brings some proper OLED monitors.

Organic EL Display sounds so weird. But yeah once I can get 49" ultrawide I am happy to get one in a way that it won't have issues with burnin, might be a microled thing tho.

Happy Monday to you Sir!

I'm still worried about burn-in, but i guess at a low brightness and just gaming use that's a non issues. I mean, i use my current EIZO CX240 at 50cd/m² which equals about 17% brightness. And that's pretty bright to my eyes in a dark room with mood lighting.

off ! 999 dollars. I would gladly take a 144hz version at half price. May it happen?

I only just noticed it has a powerbrick... that's not a good sign. Gonna have to pass it up then. Internal PSU or GTFO.

A year from now, and we'll probably have similar options closer to 500€. Hopefully.

save me from my 10 years old 2012 TN 1080p monitor LG yes ! so that finally people can stop asking why I have an RTX 90 to play on a 1080p monitor : because all the monitors 5 of them I tried were way worse motion blur wise and my tv is 60hz I'm not playing at 60fps that era is over just like 30fps consoles are dead to me...I "see" it's slow

:D I feel you. But the draw is low on a 27” and you can bet they’re going to hype how slim it is.

this is finally a great gaming resolution and size. I’ve wanted this for so long but I’m going to get the 42” ROG oled now that I have a 4k gpu

It's not exactly slim, and the inputs stick out straight from the back. But i guess i can mount the brick underneat my desk with double sided tape.

Don't pull the trigger just yet folks. 27", 49", 77" QD-OLED 2.0 will be annouced this upcoming CES 2023 and releasing from March onwards like this year's AW3423DW. Just month and a half more to see the next big thing. Hopefully we'll get a glimpse of newer display technology like AMQLED, Micro-LED, QNED or QDEL in the event as well.

At $1K USD that's not bad at all compared to alternatives, of which there are very few. I'm considering this monitor, I'm not happy with the jank that my Scamdung Odyssey G7 has. For a VA it's in a league of its own just as reviews said, but between the weird bugs (I have the latest firmware) annoying 8x1 (no, not even 4x2) lighting zones, I'd much rather have an OLED despite the inevitable burn-in. Though it's pretty disappointing that there still aren't any commonly available resolutions between 1440p and 4K, that's a huge leap. 3200x1800 would be an exact middle ground and much more reasonable for a monitor.

32” 4K 144Hz @$1500 (AUD) and I’ll be first in line to buy it. Wishful thinking I know lol.
