I don't get the mentality of people though, Apple has a small defect and it's the end of the world. Samsung has a phone that explodes and people excuse it.
That's the mentality of sheep. All aboard the hate train. While i can't stand android or Apple fanboys who go out of their way to hate on someone else's device, to be frank, android zealots are worse than Apple ones.

Kinda like the bus when your mum hops on.

A hardware enthusiast imho, loves all hardware and he/she's brand agnostic... Personally I give kudos were it's due and make my choices according to my knowledge/tastes/needs. etc  As much as I hate labels, fanatism and fanboyism is not healthy, except for the companies obviously.

These prices of these top of the line are outrageous, and the quality vs the price is laughable. Say what you want, but I for one if I spend 1000 euros on a damn phone (and I never will) then that phone better be ultra top notch quality from all points of view... In a sense I'm glad that when both Samsung and Apple screw up like this, shows just how much they care about the customers and their products. And again, we're talking top of the line, simply unacceptable. Luckily I never got into the whole phone craze. I'm not one of those that need to buy the latest galaxy/iphone just as a statement, and I know a lot, and I mean a LOT who do it. And guess what, they don't use 80% of the "smartness" of these phones either. Blind consumerism. I much prefer spending my money on the latest GPU for example, because I at least, milk that GPU of all its worth and not just put it in, takes some pictures and then play Solitaire.

I would argue that while they are not "unhackable," they are pretty close to it. If they were hackable, you would see an easy jailbreak release for every iOS version out there. Heck, just to break the encryption Apple had to create something that nobody else could. Whereas Android, one example is Towel Root that works on a number of devices. To gain root, you find an exploit. There are ways to almost unlock a bootloader, crack a bootloader, but to do all of this you need to exploit a software issue. Mind you most Android devices can be rooted with common methods to root an Android device. I have used both Android and Apple products, I like Android but the devices I had I was not impressed with. I've been on iPhones for awhile now, I have not seen the need to jailbreak mine like I did for my Android devices. I love my iPhone, it's efficient, it's quick and easy to use, perfect size and shape for me. I shouldn't have to think about how to use a phone, I'm not solving the world's hunger problem with it. It works, and for me that's perfect.
If you are referring to the San Bernardino FBI request to unlock that iPhone that was "encrypted" the FBI figured it out without Apple's assistance in creating a program nobody else could LOL. People talking about cores on iPhone should realize that spanning the load across cores, especially on a closed platform like iOS where they curate their apps allows for better battery life. It would only help if Apple increased their core count. This has been a major advantage for non iPhones for a few years now. I can't speak to the new iHiss. There are way more hackers and a larger modding community for Android. That is why so many vulnerability are found in Android. Modders want access to open hardware platforms that use standardized protocols, Apple is not that. Plus the hardware for years has been more advanced with Androids while also offering lower entry points for mod devices or third world users. The main reason jailbreaks are wanted is to remove the bloatware, same general reason people want to "root" their Android. iOS10 just brings more bloatware "baked in applications" that can't be uninstalled regardless if you want/use them, they just track more info, suck more battery life and use more storage (iHole).

Incorrect. You can uninstall just about every app except for absolute necessary ones, such as phone or text app

It doesn't uninstall them though, it just hides them. The IWSP remains in the device. Also there are big communities that have global conferences, and keynotes on jailbreaking the iPhone. Pangu for example is huge.

Its just like windows 10. 'Uninstalling' apps disables them for the current user. The services for said apps will not start. Disabled is a more correct word, you can't actually delete the core files from the OS. Regardless the "info tracking and battery suckers" don't do that anymore when deleted.

Samsung already patented this, pretty sure those Note 7s would also make a hissing sound while they are setting fire to your face
The term you're looking for is sizzling sound. 🙂

I got increasingly annoyed already years ago when often in media Apple was treated like it was some kind of a standard and innovator. As if Apple invented touch sensitive displays and smartphones, as if iPad was the only tablet in existence. I know it's not Apple's fault many journalists, TV persons, celebrities, and such are idiots, but for every action there must be an equal and opposite reaction. Apple gets lots of free publicity and advertisement, but it also gets enemies, such as myself. You are probably right about Android zealots being worse. In my experience Apple zombies can't even see the other alternatives in the world, so they wouldn't attack them either. Android just doesn't exist for them. For the record, I'm no Android fan either despite having a lousy Samsung Android phone. It's just that there aren't too many choices. I'd have probably bought a Windows phone if it had more than a 0.5% market share, just for synergy's sake since my PCs are also running Windows. Such a tiny niche is worrisome, however, because it hardly gets any apps.

iHiss is one thing, but the deletion of the 3.5mm jack is the deal killer for anyone I know. That's just stupid. Jobs would have never allowed that. Who cares if it's an old port, it works great and isn't that big anyways. Bluetooth headphones sound like crap and need recharging. The 3.5mm adapter is stupid to begin with and doesn't work for everything. Couple that with Samsungs exploding and it's a crap time to buy a flagship phone.

Sounds like electrical interference (white noise) like we used to get on motherboards that didn't separate the sound system from the rest of the mobos components. Even really cheap mobos now split the onboard sound system. Sometimes a mic can get stuck open as well and even the CPU ramping up can cause some sort of electrical noise resulting from it. I bet the mic on those new i phones is on 24/7 by default. Sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about it. Windows is no different, wanting mics on 24/7 along with many other softwares, like Adobe Flash player for example.
