Stairmand:

Unless they have binning issues for the i9 I don't really get why this exists? As it's a K model you could just overclock it to the full i9-9900 in 5 seconds.
judging by the facts that 10900K are a ghost product, other than celebrities almost nobody can buy them (still says 3 months here and it always said that) and my very recent 9900k is near non-overclockable that's my guess too, they cannot make 10900K so they are selling what they can make p.s. I have yet to seee someone saying he has "1" 10900K they all seem to have 20 of them despite the fact you cannot buy them....whatever the reason is, way to make people buy something else, if they are in such a small amount selling 30 of them to people like DerBauer is just stupid

no stock in France,Germany,Switzerland,Italy stop stealing our 10900k Norwegians damn it's the vikings all over again (joking don't really care) good for you but...you're actually proving my point "I have 3" again someone who doesn't only have one, is clearly a pro/semi-pro overclocker and is taking cpus from other users in other countries, no normal customers has 3-10-20 same cpus Intel is making a crap job of spreading them and all those new/different customers go to AMD

There's no stock in the UK either right now. One store says it's getting stock @ 1st August and the other says 14th August.

Newegg has them in stock from a third party seller at nearly $900 USD 😱. Go go gadget gouger.

i think is kind of the same thing like the 3700x is to 3800x slightly lower bin for lower price
Yes but, the difference in power consumption between both CPUs is also HUGE. Is not just better binning. 3700X is capped at 88W (Stock BIOS settings) 3800X is capped at 142W (Again, Stock BIOS settings). So the better binned 3800X has a stock power limit that is 61% higher than 3700X for a little more performance. I don't have a 3800X. But If I had one, I think I'd use it at lower (more energy friendly and optimal) PPT.

If Intel is inserting what is, I think, a previously unannounced SKU into their product stack in the form of the 10850K, one would think that they must have a fair number of them on hand to allow them to do so. Given that they're *this* close to being a 10900K, but still didn't quite make the cut, is interesting. Especially when the full-on 10900K is seemingly in demand, and apparently quite scarce. I wonder just what sort of yields Intel is realizing with regard to the flagship CPU?

to be honest there is no real reason to buy intel, locked chips, less features, no future proof, need highend motherboards for features that amd has on sub $100 products. Name me anything that intel does beter than amd. (aside from pissing off clients and fans)

well yeah they still come from the same wafers the 3800x is better bin, that said i would agree the 3800x has a much better bin my example was unfortunate change it to 3800x to 3800xt :P
