Poor CPU. Soldered TIM is a good move in my book.
I was sweating a bit as I sliced into my 3770k with a razor blade. Then I saw the block of wood trick and I was like, that's awesome!

I will probably get this, the middle 6 core that is, if the price is right but not at launch. I will wait some months to check out best motherboards/ram and coolers that will come out with this and if it is worth it gaming wise, I will go for it. Thing is, I also want to upgrade in the GPU department, I doubt I will have the money for both. QQ

It always depends on where you come from... I wouldn't upgrade with a less than two year old system either 🙄

Now that's what a call a Dead CPU :giggle2: :funny: , thank you for the guys who did it , so no one else kill their cpus this way once they are out 🙂 , soldered = no delid.
