So in other words, not good news for Intel.

Intel's price/performance value is horrible at this point in time.

Yeah, not so great considering the prices on the 3900X, 3800X and 3700X lately. I snagged an upgrade from my 3600 to the 3900X a few weeks back because it was on sale for $419 (I do a lot more than gaming on my system, so it made sense for me, and I plan on re-purposing the 3600 into my Plex server), and I have seen similarly deep discounts on the other two top-end Ryzens since. If Xen3 is indeed 15% faster than the Xen2, these chips are pretty much DOA.

Dont discard intel yet, im sure at games will still run better on it. Imagine 10c/20t at 5.3ghz all core 10900k, gaming beast.
It will run hot, it will take twice the power, but those few extra fps at 1080p are priceless.

Heh, I would like that post again if I could. I mean, yeah, it'll cost $50-100 more, require a mobo that costs twice as much, a cooler that costs $100+ extra, and will have a noticeable impact on your power bill, but it will get you that extra 10fps boost from 170 to 180 in games at 1080p!

What is the rumored release on the Ryzen 4000 chips?

The good things about Intel right now is that all the 10th gen core i series chips have hyperthreading and Intel is still top dog when it comes to gaming. Also Intel is having thermal issues as well with some of their current CPUs.

I wonder why the single score of the i5 is higher than the i7. Power/thermal problems on keeping the max boost clock on single core? ( just wondering ).

I do not know where you got the Ryzen 3800X scores, but my 3800X absolute stock, no OC, gives 5880 single and 37700 multi in Geekbench 4. That is soo far from the 5782 and 33730 that its not funny. Misleading. So, score for score, the new 10700k is 1.8% faster in single and 9.6% SLOWER in multi. If I where to OC my 3800X just a bit it would beat the leaked single score of the 10700k easily.
Heres my Geekbench 4 bench: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/15419312

Aside from the rumors that its hot and power hungry, still doesnt look too appealing when its not free from the latest exploits to hit Intel chips:

3700x, 3800x even though almost a year older will give it run for its money. Never mind 4th gen Ryzen coming out later in the year.

MAN... the Ryzen 3600 costs now USD 170!!!.... There is NO competition even near of it... its a GREAT CPU... this 10XXX series will be a total failure....
A question that come in m mind now is that... if Intel is asking this prices of a 14+++++++++++ (lost the score)... would you image what prices they will ask when they finally launch a new tecnology???
The next years AMD will dominate the full market!

AMD 3xxx series may even take a dip farther since the 4xxx is coming this fall, making even harder to compete.
