14500/14700f will be good.

so there "14" cpu are supposed to more efficiency yet the motherboard allow for more wattage, does this also mean cpu are gona pull more wattage despite original statement of then much more efficient?

I think it's either one of them, not both at the same time. they're not upgrades for 13th gen, just an improved version. they're what ryzen 2000 was to 1000. I'm happy they're still ddr4 tho, throwing away 32g 3600 c16 seems wasteful if I'm not targetting +120fps.

Same here, as long as i can maintain 60 FPS for the next 5+ years i won't be upgrading.

The efficiency push is for the next new architectures, Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake, not the Raptor Lake refresh. Meteor Lake seems to mostly focus on laptops, but Arrow Lake would be the next desktop chip with the same improvements.

300W lol....

Am i seeing it right or there is nothing new but slight increase in freq. and higher power?

They might be a littel better than we are expecting. Hopefully be able to hit all core 6.2ghz. Right now I can run

Shit I be pulling 360+ with 13700kf at 5.8 all core.

The question is just how long will my 5800X3D be relevant. As i want to bypass AM5 all together. I have top end AM4 and i'm hoping it lasts 6 years at least. It's nearly 3 years now so another 3 years and i might start looking for upgrades.

I can see 5800x3d being relevant for another 3 years but thats about it. By that time we will have zen5d a massive increase in cpu performance, higher base freq, higher ddr5 freq. and more cache.

How many times over how many years have people been saying this?? A 5800X3D will last longer than 3yrs. Games are more GPU bound.

GPU performance is advancing much faster than cpu performance. It wont take long before current generation becomes a bottleneck. Nvidia has been mitigating the issue with frame generation but even then latest UE4/5 games are very cpu limited.

5800x non-3d will last longer than 3 years. Undying is a delusional person thinking a 7600x ddr5 6000 + 6700xt is a better choice than an older 8/16 ddr4 with a faster card.

215 fps is so yesterday....... gotta have 220 not to be obsolete. only makes me more assured that 13500 with 3600 d4 mem is a great upgrade if it's faster than 5800x btw, how many times will you post HUB reviews for ryzen 7000. wasn't it proven enough that they're like +10% higher than every other one ? 7600 faster than 13600k, only on HUB.

Especially compared to old 10700.

Yeah. still good for 100-120 though, so no hurry. When I see fps that high, I turn on dldsr anyway. I prefer low cpu usage anyway, so 8/16 with upscaling and 60-70 target is perfect for TPP games. no stutter like 6/12 and great image quality.

Most important is that your happy with the good old 10700 lol

It depends 100% on what you use it for. If you play Apex legends I went from 200 FPS on a 1700 to 230 FPS with a 5800x and was very disappointed to be honest, I then activated V-sync 165hz and I would not be able to see what system was what in a blind test. Other games have a much bigger difference in performance and some games like Stellaris, Factorio and I think From the Debts and satisfactory, like the 3D cache so much that the 5800X3D is only beaten by a 7800X3D or 7950X3D and the 13900k is in the rearview mirror. Only reason i changed from the 5800x was because I ran out of memory and fast M.2 slots with my X370 platform, not because of CPU speed. I hate the word "relevant" the 5800X3D is probably faster then 90% of the computers in the world and that number is higher if gaming only.

no reason to upgrade, though I do have the itch.
