Well, let's see if those price drops really reach people, and if so, if the availability's there.
Sure, the article says it's the average of best prices for the cards (warning, only GERMAN etailers, although it says US in the first paragraph...), availability's there and all... but we have already seen how this does NOT translate to what you see when you actually try to buy a card. Experienced the last two years, anybody? I've grown weary on such claims and "studies"...
I just checked, out of curiosity, for instance, the 3080TI. Stated at € 1399 at the sauce (3d center's site and stats), searched for it on geizhals. Indeed, there's a single offer (with a huge green marked discount of -20%), which fits the category, but actually is "ready in 2 to 4 days"... so not at all, and the second listing's almost €100 more expensive (and not shipping right away either).

The model(s) i still have on my wishlist are still pretty high here in the netherlands.
Asus Rog Strix 3060 Ti - €699
Asus Rog Strix 3070 - €799
Believe the lowest for the 3070 Strix was €700 at launch.
3070 Noctua Edition is currently €784, which seems a steal. Shame the shroud is brown tinted as well.

+25% my ass, average is still between +50 and +100%

AMD gpus fell quite a bit. 6700xt can be found at 730€ and 6600xt at 420€ so its almost there.

At this point, I aint buying even at MSRP.
They are on their way out and to be honest I never intended on buying a 3000/6000 GPU (the power draw is just ridiculous on those gpus, my 1080 uses 190W, a 3080 uses 330W).
Maybe the 6800.
BTW, Poland has 3060 at 530 EURO, 3080 at 1000+ Euro (retail, with VAT).
But Scalpers are moving on so probably sub MSRP prices are coming soon.

Hopefully, prices will go back to normal by the summer time.
But with RDNA3 and Ada Lovelave so close, buying Ampere and RDNA2 at MSRP is not a good deal.

I see 3060 at 550-600€. Shouldn't this entry card cost like 300€ ?

There's availability, but prices are indeed still a bit high.
Yeah, at this point it seems to me that it would only make sense to buy a card from a good sale, considering they are pretty old already, with new ones appearing later this year, presumably. 25-35% over the (long lost) MSRP doesn't quite match my idea of a good discount.

Fingers crossed,
I've been eyeing up a Sapphire Toxic 6900 XT as it seemed to be the only thing that was remotely close to MSRP lately.
But if cards more closely applicable to my needs are dropping back to reasonable prices then I'll hold off a while longer.

Everything still has absurd prices at shops here. I however am not sure if GPUs just cost 1000-1500€ now, though, or if that's inflated prices.
BLEH!
I shall buy when prices are at or below MSRP, not before.
